oh it is possible...because most people in the right wing are nothing but hypocrites and full of shit...only doing the things they preach out agaisnt
i.e. Roy Cohn, Rush Limbaugh

recently, i recieved a hate email from a guy who was upset about my recent comments about janet jackson, president asshole bush, and my support of gay marrige. he claimed he had a tgirl girlfriend and he was conservative and janet jacksons tit was representative of decline of american society, children of gay couples were maladujusted, and the president was a great leader. that i didn't know the meaning of what it was to be an american and i should return to cuba.

give me a fucking break!!!! if anything i know exactly what it means to be an american because it gives me the freedom to make objections and state my opinions. I AM VERY PROUD TO BE AN AMERICAN NOW. i know that coming to this country gave me the possibility to be what and who i am and I LOVE THE USA. i am upset that alot of people who are born in this country take the precious freedoms we have here for granted as so many many around the world are oppressed.

furthermore, i don't understand how someone can lead an alternative lifestyle or be on my site jerking off to chicks with dicks then go ahead and criticize other people leading alternative lifestyles who ARE entitled to the same freedoms and previlages WE ALL HAVE. i get really mad when guys who like transsexuals put down gay people or make homophobic remarks becase those who follows alternative lifestyles MUST EVEN MORE TOLERANT OF OTHERS. i have lived both as a gay effiminate male, as a transsexual, and as a woman - I HAVE FACED DISCRIMINATION AND RIDICULE AS ALL THREE.

so yes republicans and right wingers suck tranny cock and take it up the ass. they just will deny it to their deaths and try to deny us any rights which they consider privelages.

You make some very good points Allanah. I firmly believe that excercising one's individual freedoms is a big part of being a responsible American. The Bill of Rights guarantees freedom from persecution of the government, and the masses. This is supposed to be one of the core building blocks of our society yet; the far right is constantly trying to pry those away from us. The Patriot act is fine example of that endeavor.

One of the more shameful acts coming from the right is this ridiculous effort to affect a constitutional amendment banning gay marriage. This idea of marriage only being available to one man and one woman is a blatant violation of civil rights. It is no different than the efforts of those small minded, so called patriots, who opposed the desegregation of the south during the 60s. Denying citizens of this country the right to choose who they want to spend their life with, in a monogamous relationship, simply because they are not heterosexual, is absurd. And we have the gall to poke fun at other nations for being "backward"! This ban on gay marriage is all a product of fear and hyper-masculinity. We breed homophobia in this country. We teach it to our children, we tolerate in films, television and in the media. It's staunchly supported by the church and the right wing element. And this is all happening in a country where freedom allegedly rings….

If it were up to me, they would all just go away!

How more obvious is it that this book called the bible is actually an antiquated book of morals written by white, homophobic, sexist, racist MEN long ago, with little to no relevance today?

The Old Testament was not written by anyone "white", and although you could make the argument that Paul, the author of much of the New Testament, was white, it would be stretching the definition of caucasian pretty thinly. Furthermore, calling the Jews of the Messianic age racist is a little perplexing...certainly they had animosity towards the Romans and Egyptians, but I don't know if that merits a racist tag. Homophobic? Perhaps. Romans are certainly notorious now for adopting a hedonistic lifestyle, very much the antithesis of Orthodox Jewish life. The OT said in Leviticus (I think) that laying with another man was immoral and against God's will, so the Jewish people did not challenge that fact. The men part is kind of a "duh" factor. Who did you expect would've written ANYTHING in years preceding 100 AD. In many instances, only a minute part of the population was literate, and nearly all of that minute part was male. This isn't to say women weren't given respect in the Bible; there are many instances were women were treated with much reverance. In any event, women rabbis were non-existant in those days, as far as I'm aware.

I'd love to hear how you feel that rules that set guidelines such as honor thy father and mother, do not steal, do not murder, do not commit adultery, etc etc. are irrelevant today. You can't really be advocating a return to Roman times, can you? That would be chaos at best, anarchy at worst. It's that kind of thought that led to that schmuck from California trying to get "under God" removed from the Pledge of Allegiance and failed as of a few days ago.

In terms of religion and the right-wing being synonomous, I think you're stretching a stereotype to fit your argument. On the far ends of the political spectrum, with the left being communism and the right being Facism, religion is non-existant. As you get closer to the middle, we find that quite often the different Protestant branches do indeed vote Republican, although Catholics and other sects tend to vote on the left side of the line. Saying that all those who believe in God therefore hate transsexuals and other minorities is just off the mark. Hell, if you really want to find somewhere that accepts everyone, go to a service in your local area that is deist in nature, such as a Unitarian church. I think a certain guy named Thomas Jefferson was one, and he wasn't half bad, was he?

I am really disturbed by DanZero thinking that anyone who challenges the system is a Schmuck. That is what our system is based on- the right to challange the system itself.

Wouldnt it be convinient to live is a society that was tailored to all of our individual beliefs and ideas? NO THANK YOU! That is one of the reasons I am glad I got the hell out of Cuba.

And how exactly is gay marrige causing the return to "Roman Times"????
Please enlighten me on that school of thought.

WE ALL DESERVE THE SAME EQUAL RIGHTS AND PROTECTION FROM THE LAW. People who are always hiding behind the Bible want to impose the Bible on everyone. What if you don't believe in the Bible?

OH I FORGOT, EVERYONE IS THIS COUNTRY IS SUPPOSED TO BE WHITE AND CHRISTIAN, DUUUUHHHHH.

I'm thoroughly sleep-deprived, so bear with me if I get incoherent during the post.

Allanah, I didn't mean to imply that gay marriage was a harbringer of another Roman age. I meant to imply that ignoring the Ten Commandments is pretty ridiculous, and trying to push them by the wayside is just folly.

Furthermore, I don't consider those who challenge "the system" or "the machine" schmucks. I consider a man who is clearly using his daughter as a tool to push a political agenda of his own wishes forward. I don't consider him any different than those who would try to convince the American public that a totalitarian regime is in fact a terrorist state as well...but I'll let Richard Clarke handle that one.

I'm always a little disappointed when athiests view a sense of pride in one's faith as a personal affront. Surely no one can deny the Judeo-Christian tenets set forth from the beginning of the colonization of this nation and more (or sometimes less) held to as the years have gone by.

As for J...

Nothing you say can change the fact that if all the characters of the old testemant were put on trial, most would be convicted of murder, and of the new testemant, most would get off by virtue of insanity. The old testemant (which is the only one I consider myself well versed in) is filled with nothing but tall tales designed to enslave and scare the hell out of the masses. Like alexander the great said " religion is a wonderful tool for keeping simple people quiet." Other than stories, its filled with murder mayhem and gruesome tales of vengence.

As for the fine nature of the biblical jews. They entered palastine and murdered and killed all the cananites because thy believed it was their calling under god to do so (poor cananites who werent aware of this plan).

I really wish I had either the time or the energy to procure literature backing up my statements, but to be honest, I really don't want to spend too much time on this part, because you're insinuating that the Jewish nation is founded on deceit, lies, and murder...and even if that's not what you meant, I don't think I can get past that. Sorry.

I really had no intention of coming off as a Bible-thumping preacher here, but as a Christian, I find some of what you have said as offensive as apparently my beliefs are to you. I never defended prejudice against the GLBT community. I only presented the argument of how branding the 99.6 percent of Americans who believe in one form of deity or another the way that you have is just as full of prejudice as those who hate out of any race, religion, or sexuality.

Look at what I prefaced my argument with in my previous post before you respond...it seems as if this part was skipped over in order to pick and choose statements so I could be turned into the "evil middle class WASP"...

Whatever. I'm on 3 hours of sleep, and it's 2 AM ET. Catch ya on the flip side.

Pictures of candidate in women's clothes surface

By Jay Root

Star-Telegram Austin Bureau

AUSTIN - His family made a fortune on men's work clothing. But it's Sam Walls' apparent fondness for women's apparel that is dividing the Johnson County Republican Party.

Walls, 64, is in the April 13 GOP primary runoff against Burleson real estate broker Rob Orr for the House District 58 seat. As a leading businessman, former Republican Party chairman and benefactor of Harris Methodist Walls Regional Hospital, Walls seemed the odds-on favorite to win.

The victor is likely to succeed Arlene Wohlgemuth in the Texas Legislature.

But then pictures of Walls in women's clothing -- several of which were provided to the Star-Telegram -- began circulating late last week around Burleson and Cleburne, rival towns on opposite ends of the district.

That's when several Republicans, including the head of the Johnson County Republican Party, confronted Walls and urged him to withdraw from the race.

But Walls dug in.

After rebuffing Republicans who asked him to pull out Monday, he faxed a statement to the Star-Telegram saying he would not give in to "blackmail" from opponents who are trying to use "very old, personal information" to force him out.

"Through intermediaries, my opponent told me to drop out of the campaign or the private information would be released," Walls said. "Now my opponent is using the private information in an attempt to intimate that I am a homosexual, which I am not."

Walls said his family had "dealt with" the issue and he asked for forgiveness.

"I apologize for any embarrassment caused to supporters by my opponent's disclosure of a small part of my personal past," he said.

Lee Woods, Orr's Houston-based political consultant, denied involvement in any kind of smear campaign.

Woods said the pictures were brought to the attention of Orr's campaign staff, which then alerted Republican leaders in Johnson County. For one of them, Republican Party Chairman Jeff Judd, the photos of Walls wearing dresses and makeup were disturbing enough to ask the candidate to pull out.

"The Rob Orr campaign has not engaged in any type of mass distribution of these photos. In fact, they do not have and have never had possession of any of the photos in question," Woods said. "Mr. Walls' unique lifestyle is a matter that he needs to address with the voters of House District 58."

Walls, whose father founded the mens' clothing line now produced by Cleburne-based Walls Industries, is expected to address the controversy at a meeting of party executives at 7 tonight in Cleburne.

Endorsed by state Sen. Jane Nelson, R-Lewisville, and U.S. Rep. Kay Granger, R-Fort Worth, Walls won't be without support at the meeting.

GOP Treasurer Roy Giddens Jr., an elder statesman in the Johnson County Republican Party, met with Walls last week to discuss the photos and was assured there was nothing more than "cross-dressing" involved.

And as far as Giddens is concerned, wearing earrings, a wig and high-heeled shoes does not preclude Walls from becoming an excellent state representative.

"I don't have a problem with cross-dressing," Giddens said. "There are lots of them. People think J. Edgar Hoover was one of the greatest Americans that ever lived. He was a cross-dresser."

Walls also has the support of Scott Cain, a lawyer who didn't make the Republican runoff. Cain said he had been approached with photos of Walls during the primary campaign but shooed them away.

"I basically told them I wasn't going to engage in any beneath-the-table politics, blackmail or anything like that," Cain said. While "disappointed" in Walls, Cain said Walls is a better choice than his opponent.

"Sam Walls has demonstrated integrity and aboveboard politics," he said. "His opponent has not."

Judd said, "I certainly wouldn't be one to throw stones. It's just something most people in the Republican Party don't consider appropriate."

Also urging Walls to step aside was Johnson County Sheriff Bob Alford, who had some of the photos, several Republican officials said. Alford did not returned repeated phone calls Monday.

Giddens said the sheriff had called him and minister Gloria Gillaspie of Lighthouse Church of Burleson to his county office to see the photos and talk about the possible political fallout.

On Thursday, a day after that meeting, Alford confronted Walls at Giddens' house and "demanded" that he leave the race, Giddens said.

"I see no reason for him to withdraw," said Giddens. "It's the desperate ploy of a guy that knew he was going to lose this race to just force a win."

Gillaspie, who declined to comment, became involved after getting a call from Wohlgemuth, who is vacating the District 58 seat to run for Congress.

"I was just told about it. I haven't seen any pictures," Wohlgemuth said. "I got my pastor involved."

Dozens of photos of Walls were seized by a company that repossessed a worn-out single-wide trailer registered in Walls' name at the Chalet City mobile home park in Crowley, just inside Tarrant County.

Tarrant County Deputy Constable Randall Groombridge oversaw the eviction -- prompted by Walls' failure to pay rent, court records show.

Groombridge said the mobile home was crammed with boxes and had lots of Marilyn Monroe and Elvis Presley memorabilia. He said the eviction order specified that Walls could retrieve his personal belongings from the company, identified in the court records as Lone Star Skirting and Mobile Home Transport.

Groombridge said Walls' belongings were in the mobile home when it was hauled off by Lone Star Skirting and Mobile Home Transport.

Representatives of the company did not answer several calls to the number listed on court papers.
