For those of you in the Northeast (along with myself), be careful out there later today and tomorrow. Be sure you have all that you need in case of a power outage. If you have to drive, leave yourself plenty of time and pack survival needs in your vehicle as well. You never know if you get stranded. Anyone remember the Blizzard of '78? Hundreds of cars abandoned on I-495 and I-95. Above all be safe!

i was born in 78, so i missed that blizzard.

looking out my window (forest hills, queens) right now it looks quite tame but we'll see what the rest of the day brings.

I woke up expecting something on the ground but nothing, I wasn't born til '85. But there was a huge storm that rivals '78. The April Fools Blizard in '97, the craziest storm that you could not see your own feet, and the next day it was about 70-80 degrees.

blizzard is not so common here, thankfully, but at the mountain passes it is quite common...:geek:

It's snowing very heavily in the Buffalo area right now but I guess we are supposed to get off easy this time compared to the east coast. BTW, who says there is no such thing as Climate Change?

Its been all rain so far here in the city. if upstate is getting nailed, or if new england has any significant accumulation, hopefully this band of rain will move up that way.

I was hitting mixed precipitation through ohio and erie,pa, coming in to ny on 90 got progressively worse the futher east i went, i shut down in waterloo, ny, near syracuse and its snowing like a bastard here.
