Transsexual Performer was announced with female and male performer during the middle of the show this year! Vaniity being the pioneer she has always been walked up and accepted the award. I think it's befitting, since she was the first of the Transsexual Performers Of The Year!

I know many thought it would Eva or Sarina, but Vaniity has been a pioneer and stayed on top! She was doing female ts scenes with big names before the transsexual craze was even popularized. She has always been a pioneer, she has earned her recognition and fame. So it would be hard for any ts performer to go up against the entertainer known as Vaniity!

Congrats to Vaniity! And congrats to all the girls that were nominated :) and look forward to more changes and more acceptance every year!

It's not silly. Most AVN wins haven't been relevant to the year they won in. WW was an exception (deserved to win on the year she got it). I've never been a fan of AVN, and still now feel the same. I am happy some change has come, yet I'm still skeptical.

I wouldn't of known who the ts performer was if Michelle wasn't there. AVN announced every performer of the year on their twitter feed, but left out ts. Picky, Picky...maybe..but to me it sent a message...not a big enough one for me to go on a rant. Still sent the message this is just a small step, we still have ways to go. So AVN has a ways to go to win me over.

Kelly I was there with Wendy Summers... I was actually there all weekend representing Wendy Williams as her PR girl... All Wendy's girls were taken care of. Everyone on AVN knew i was with WW PR... 1. congrats to Vaniity because you can't find any fault with her for accepting what she was given.

2. shame on the AVN judges for again failing to recognize excellence in the calendar year since the last award.

3. doesn't anyone think that the award was given to the TS with the most name cache BECAUSE the award was given on stage? If the award was presented as it was last year, with less fanfare, I suggest Vaniity would not have won it.
