I think Maury is into making a buck and he titillates the largely female audience with whatever he thinks will draw viewers and increase his ratings. Transexuals as put on display by him and others have enough "naughty" sensationalism about them to entice viewers, and are nothing more than a way to add to his already considerable wealth.
