Bootlegger Italian Bistro (http://www.urbanspoon.com/r/18/220344/restaurant/South-Las-Vegas/Bootlegger-Bistro-Las-Vegas) has great food and entertainment! If you go on Mondays they have open mic night and tons of the entertainers who work on strip are off and go there to do a song! So its pretty cool to see all these amazing entertainers in one place!

Also reasonable food but real good is the Beach Cafe (https://www.google.com/url?sa=t&rct=j&q=&esrc=s&source=web&cd=14&cad=rja&ved=0CMIBEBYwDQ&url=http%3A%2F%2Fwww.opentable.com%2Fbeach-cafe-tropicana-las-vegas&ei=4pLwUJrZCsSQiALZ1YHIDA&usg=AFQjCNGeFlDAcVaLB2dGZ0iQpPLmBi7gCg&sig2=auQ_pR0d9qUlAXILiZwbig&bvm=bv.1357700187,d.cGE) in Tropicana!

Firefly is a tapas restaurant with a great bar. The food is great and I love the small portions so I can try a variety of different things. Everything is reasonably priced and not over inflated like many of the strip restaurants. Very trendy, open late, and an awesome menu. This is one of my favorites. Less than a mile away from the Hardrock is a plus also. They don't reservations and are always packed so expect a 15 to 30 minute wait. It's worth it.

This is one of the better and more popular places for sushi and Japanese food. They have a sushi bar with plenty of unique creations you won't find anywhere else. They also offer traditional Japannese seating on the floor which is an added touch. Open late, not cheap but not over priced like Sushi Samba on the strip, and not too far off the strip.

This is a drive but I feel it's worth it. Gourmet hot dogs with an Asian infusion. They have over a million different possibilities as far as topping for your hot dog goes. Kimchi, pork belly bacon, and 8 different kinds of mayo including a Sriracha and chipotle mayo are just a few of the options. Check out the menu online and I'm sure you will find something new and unique to try. This place, being so far off the strip is priced for locals so that's a plus.

These are my favorite restaurants in town right now. Hope this helps.

Thought of a few more standouts.

http://mintbistro.com/
Indian fine dinning. They have a great lunch buffet which I believe runs till 2 in the afternoon. Best Indian food I have ever eaten. Not far from the strip either.

http://www.saipinchutima.com/
Thai fine dinning. Located in the same shopping center as the lounge. The area is sketchy but their food is amazing. In my opinion, best Thai food in town. They also have an extensive wine list.

Late night Vietnamese food with a trendy crowd and atmosphere. Awesome after a night of drinking. Very close to the strip as it is located in the eastern part of Chinatown. Not too far from Power exchange either so a good choice for food after fucking. Once the nightclubs let out expect a wait especially on the weekends. Food is good but not amazing. I go because they are open late.

What can I say? This skinny bitch likes to eat.

We call Foxxy the queen of the nightlife; we'll call you the queen of the dining!

At last someone is asking the good stuff about living in las vegas.
The capital city of Fine Dinning and Entertainment.

There are pleanty of good restaurants but everytime I get an invite I choose from the follow.

1. Capital Grill located at Fashion Show Mall
2. STK located at The Cosmopolitan
3. Joe's Stone Crab located at Caesars Palace

You will enjoy your meal and the sights :wiggle:

I've heard GREAT things about STK. If the crew goes to a group dinner that Saturday night (which I'm hoping will happen), I hope you join us!

Definitely go eat at The Golden Steer - in between old and new strip and was Elvis' favorite restaurant. Its been around for 50 years.

STK is good at Cosmo, Strip Steak at Mandalay is also good as is Jean Georges in Aria - but in between Aria & Cosmo is Mastro's Ocean Club which is truly incredible.

Cosmo also has a cool little place called Holstein's with weird Americana spinoffs and their signature super alcoholic shakes that are really really really good plus its right across from the main nightclub so the people watching is fantastic.

My friends are all casino hosts, and they enjoy eating at STACK the steak/seafood fine dining in Mirage as well.

As for buffets - the Rio World Buffet is the most popular, and the buffet at the Wynn is expensive but worth it.

Looks like Cosmo has a lot of great choices. No matter they were voted best hotel/casino in Nevada according to this poll (http://ow.ly/gKh6L)...

I am a fan of Rock N Roll Sushi (3049 South Las Vegas Boulevard), not the fanciest nor the trendiest but just good quality Sushi.

My top picks:

Alize - French - Palms - Andre Rochat

Gallagher's Steakhouse - New York, NY (their dry aged beef is to die for!)

André's - French - Monte Carlo - Andre Rochat

L'Atelier - French - MGM Grand - Joel Robuchon

Sushi Roku - Japanese - The Forum Shops at Caesar's Palace (they have a great happy hour)

Aureole - American - Mandalay Bay - Charlie Palmer

B&B Ristorante - Italian - Venetian - Mario Batali

New Orleans Fish House - American - MGM Grand - Emeril Lagasse (My personal favorite. Their bass and cornbread are the best!)

Diego - Mexican - MGM Grand

Rao's - Italian - Caesar's Palace

Steak - Paris - Gordon Ramsey

Fleur De Lys - French - Mandalay Bay - Hubert Keller

The Steak House - Circus Circus

The Pepper Mill - next to Riviera (oldie, but goodie)

Guy Savoy - French - Caesar's Palace - namesake

Estiatorio Milos - Greek - Cosmopolitan - namesake

Texas De Brazil - Steakhouse - Town Square

Yellowfish - Japanese - Bellagio

Nobu - Japanese - Hard Rock - Nobu Matsuhisa

Olive's - Mediterranean - Bellagio - Todd English

As for buffets, Caesar's Palace, Planet Hollywood, and The Cosmopolitans are the top three in town IMO.

Bacchanal Buffet at Caesars is hands down the best in town now. It's very pricey though. For a not so pricey option either Planet Hollywood or Rio. Rio also has a seafood buffet if that's more your thing.

For a great steak and intimate setting, Strip House in Planet Hollywood. Old Homestead at Caesars Palace is pretty good as well. Gallaghers is another great one at NY/NY.

Sushi, I'd go with Sushi Roku in the Forum Shoppes at Caesars or Yellow Tail (maybe Yellowfish as stated above, but I could have sworn it was Yellow Tail) at Bellagio. You can also do Blue Ribbon Sushi at Cosmo, but every time i go there I get the Wasabi Fried Chicken. That stuff is delicious.

Italian, have to go with Rao's at Caesars palace

Deli sandwich - Carnegie's Deli at the Mirage. Sandwich is so big you'll have breakfast in the morning too.

Seafood I have no clue, I don't eat the stuff

After a long night of drinking: Taco- Roberto's by far. It is so good late night I don't even know why. For pizza, there's a secret pizza place in Cosmo down a hallway to the right of Blue Ribbon Sushi that is phenomenal. It's NY style thin crust so not as good as Chicago style deep dish, but it'll have to do out here.

If you are looking to take your wife out and really impress her with a crazy good 9 course meal and don't mind dropping a grand to do it.... Guy Savoy at Caesars is incredible. You get like 6 personal waiters and the food is unbelievable. Just keep in mind its pronounced "Gee Sav-wa" or you will get made fun of.

And if you want the all night Greek diner feel that has surprisingly great food, the Peppermill. It's just past the Wynn on the right if you head toward the Stratosphere. Its cheep, cheesy, and so damn good for some reason. The back room fire pit is pretty cool too.
