Not being notified

I have checked the instant email notification in my preferences but I no longer get notified when someone replies to a posting I made or a thread I posted to. Am I doing something wrong?

I think that's only if the want to e-mail you.

I used to get an email telling me that someone posted to the same thread as I did and links were provided. Now I get nothing.
