Always love the familiar faces in the music thread and post over there often. Who has such bad taste in music you'd be concerned about taking a ride in the car with them?

Vote for me if you like. I catch heck in there all the time.

i've never checked that thread, but from my observation on forums with the same thread, people that listen to death metal and dark metal contribute the most to such topics, followed by people who listen to soft rock then pop music fans.

i've always wondered whether this has something to do with how these fans digest this music

Dino, you're a great guy and I'm sure one day we'll share a beer or two, but please, PLEASE let me choose the soundtrack.....

Yeah Dino, I'm not into metal. So I'd probably want to pick the tunes too. That said, I listen to so much Japanese and Korean pop music, I'd probably drive everyone else crazy too.

You're lucky Dino - you've never had to hear my songs.....short-cut to suicide, sponsored by the Samaritans.

Dino, I do like the lighter stuff you post probably after getting laid or having a pancake breakfast.

I suspect that all three things coincide!

Jesus, RobertLouis, I mean, if the Samaritans can't help your songs must be really really grim...but I imagine there aren't that many people who are going to spend next weekend listening to Wagner...so I must be a candidate as there are no holy cows in music. I understand there are some poor souls on this board who think the Beach Boys, Michael Jackson and that hip-swivelling idiot from Memphis whose name I forget, constitite music. As if!

That's just my onstage schtick, Stavros, but..... when people buy a CD from me I always advise against listening to it when there's anything sharp to hand and certainly never while driving. And I am in advanced discussions with the makers of Prozac about sponsorship for my next album.....

And I hesitate to ask the question, and if you sense a slight tongue in cheekiness, you wouldn't be entirely mistaken, but who would be, in your opinion, Bela Tarr's musical equivalent? :hide-1:

Tarr's regular musical collaborator, Mihaly Vig (who also has acts in a key role in Satantango) supplies music that matches the films, try this (and see the comment in English at the foot of the page!)

Worst musical taste ? Tricky question. I rule Dino out because he has NO musical taste at all - just a pleasure in noise. Sorry Dino - but you have effectively diverted a river of sewage into the music strand and stopped me even visiting it anymore.

Other than that? Well probably me - since i like just about every type of music except that metal stuff and most Rap (honourable exceptions there for bands like Public Enemy and grandmaster Flash and a few others.)

Clearly, bringing horses into this thread has taken it into directions that it would have been better to avoid...nay, I say, thrice nay!

Can someone steer it back to the topic? So far, Jericho is out in the lead...

I've always been more a fan of Hank Williams Sr than Elvis.

Egad! The melodrama!

Your taste in music isn't bad. It's just different. We enjoy some of the same stuff.

$800.00 Plus F'ing dollars? WTF! That's how much tickets in the Shit Seats were going for at the One Direction's Concert at Madison Square Garden . I could spend a couple of hours plus of Quality Time with Evon Rose for what those tickets were going for.

I think we found our candidate.

I'm just giving Cecil a hard time. I think his only intent was to point out the ridiculousness that some kid's parents are actually spending $800 for nose-bleed seats so their children can watch some shitty, contrived, media-constructed boy-band.
