C'mon, Jericho. For an artist, like radiusdark, it has to be a positive outlet for exposure. A way to aggregate eyes that may be more effective than an individual website.

I'm wondering about the other side- the shlubby end users like me.

Maybe it's an easy way to narrow the field of a search for your interests?

I think my main objection would be to joining yet another platform, honestly. I'm on a couple (including this one) but I just don't have the energy to participate fully or often.

And google generally gets me where I want to go.

"Exposure"? You're certainly right, Dave, I agree it probably is somewhat of a must today for an artist or anyone who wants to have a public appeal.

It's just a blogging platform like Wordpress (though much easier for newbies). So you don't need an account to view tumblr pages. However, if you do have an account, it will aggregate all the posts you have subscribed to in a feed.

Personally, I find this easier than visiting multiple URLs.
