Item in the Boston Globe today:

Change is good, right?

In 1953, George Jorgensen became the Christine Jorgensen in one of the earliest sex-change operations. The ex-GI also became a national celebrity, and her cabaret act was banned in Boston before it ever came to town. In "Christine Jorgensen Reveals," Bradford Louryk performs a lip-synched re-creation of Jorgensen's famous 1958 TV interview with Nipsey Russell. As Jorgensen, Louryk answers questions that were "leading and salacious," according to Louryk, who is also the show's creator. Theater Offensive presents the re-enacted interview through April 29, and tonight's opening show is at 7:30. Tickets: $34-$39. Boston Center for the Arts Calderwood Pavillion, 527 Tremont St., 617-933-8600. www.bostontheatrescene.com (http://www.bostontheatrescene.com).
