DAMN!
that has to be the worst...the name alone gives me chills..."Flesh-Eating Virus" wow...although in other hawaii news i saw that HBO special on TS escorts in Hawaii and some of them were pretty hot...so stay away from the water and hang out with the girls at night and Hawaii should be a blast!

I've read previous articles about people being infected by a rare flesh eating streptococcus. It always seems to happen to people who are doing simple things that you would never associate with that sort of exposure. Translation: it can happen to anyone at any time.

As an aside, Waikiki is a lot of fun, and I would recommend it to anyone considering a trip to Hawaii. When I went there, over a decade ago, my tour managed to get into so much trouble that the travel agency (which was owned/operated by a close friend) was disinvited from ever lodging at the Waikiki Marina Hotel (I think that's what it was called) again – after 10 years of continuous business together. Hint, don't throw your mattress off of a 9th story balcony into the hotels parking lot. Hint, don't get involved in a 30 plus man free for all in the hotel lobby between a German soccer club and a group of indigenous Hawaiians. Good times. Good times.

And don't forget money. Plenty of money. I went there in 2004 and it cost over $8 for a breakfast value meal from McDonald's. Ugh!!!

Sorry to hear about that guy though.

I thought that Burger in Paradise was the only way you could die in Waikiki.
