What a player, worth all the hype I think, and to think how young he is too. What do you reckon Sammi?

No one really plays Soccer anymore. Not that important. The only sport that matters is spelunking.

On the one hand he is the most exciting player Liverpool have signed in recent years, but on the other hand he is still young and youth is no guarantee of enduring success, consider the debate on Rooney's career. Michael Owen was a phenomenal player whose injuries robbed him, and the England team of greater victories, so while it is great to see a fearless young player with talent, one hopes it will be carefully nurtured so that his career gets better and also lasts long enough for him to see his potential developed. Easily superior to Suarez who should be on his way to some second rate Liga club where he belongs. Anyway, Liverpool's currently unsolvable problems are in defence...

Arsenal prevails!!! In all serious, Raheem Sterling is superb and will be a mainstay for both Liverpool and England. Although in my opinion, the best player in the EPL this season....Juan Mata. It's early but Chelsea are looking like the team to beat. They are a little shaky on defense but they have amazing creative talent. If they pick up Falcao in January than I will jump off a cliff! For the record, I fucking hate Chelsea! I still can't believe they won the Champions league...

The Liverpool squad is too thin - not Rodgers' fault, and he's having to work with what he's got. Yes, Sterling is an exciting prospect, but it's important that they don't thrust the weight of expectation on him. Stevie G has a hell of a lot to carry on the pitch and just hope that the money's available in January. However, selling clubs will know Liverpool's desperation for strikers, so the asking price is likely to be stupidly high.

They should have gone for Jelavic before he became another of Moyes' shrewd signings for the club across the park; with that miss in mind, maybe they're eyeing up one or two of Celtic's players who will be bargains by Premiership standards.

Umm. Mods, shouldn't this be in the sports section?

Mind you, Prospero probably thinks that Sterling is a rapper......

Just how did you come by this strange attachment to Glasgow Rangers, Cecil?

Do you actually watch football or just read a paper?? Suarez 2nd rate liga!!!!! lololol

We had streling for 2 and a half years and he has progressed great, along with a lot of our local talent and other players brought in with rafas vision and rebuilding of the youth setup.

It may pain you to admit it, but we have one of the best youth setups in the country. Easily.

Sterling is amazing for his age. I really hope the get him signed long term. If he keeps improving and stays Red, I see a bright future again!
