I have been to Savannah, inspired - as I am sure many were - by the book "Midnight In The Garden Of Good And Evil.' it is indeed in its old core a beautiful little place but does not compare in terms of Southern grace with the historic old district of Charleston... and is certainly no match for New York City with its energy, its vitality, its infinite variety and more nor the hilly marvel that is San Francisco.
