That's really neat dude. I see you used the liquify tool without adding a lightning bolt and a lens flare, though. The three go hand-in-hand. lol.

What did you do to make the highlights in the hair pop like that?
Feathered color selection and levels adjustment?

actually i dont use liquify.. i dont think i have ever even looked into that filter. PS is so deep that it can work so many way for people. If i do use a filter i try to find that medium where its not too much and not to little just get it right into the sweet spot and the effect stands out and not the filter. The main filter i used was Kai Power tools. I have a box that runs os9! Classic and photoshop 7.. It has kai on it. I used it to create the tail shadow fan and the scales it helped with the modeling before i covered them all up with water splashes.

The hair was just curves, highlighting, sharpening, high pass and loads of layer work. I still feel its a little flat on the skin towards the center.

That being said this was a billboard around town where i live. So it was FRIGGIN HUGE. I still love massive work where your files balloon to 10 gigs.. it gets crazy..

But thanks for lookin closely!

Cheese and Crackers.

You must be in a dredging mood this AM because you sure are digging out some old threads!

Kind of difficult to answer your question since Photoshop is such a large program that can potentially do all sorts of things.

Ask a specific question and you may get a specific answer.

If you're serious, have a project, and have some cash - Jamie French.
