Studies: Heavy pacifier use linked to trouble in boys

I fully expected to see some study linking extended use of a pacifier to enjoyment, skill level, etc of oral sex later in life.
Perhaps that will be the follow up study to expand on what other "troubles" result from the extended ues of a pacifier.

Six and seven-year-old boys using pacifiers?!? What the fuck is that about? Who DOES that?
The way I read it, it was a study of 6 & 7 yr olds who had used pacifiers as babies, not currently using.

That said, I never understood parents who stick a pacifier in the kids mouth when they're already quiet. Did the name confuse you? It's called a pacifier because it's supposed to pacify fussy babies. Yet, time and time again I see parents shoving the thing into the mouth of a quiet and content baby. Like their baby is incomplete without one.

I tried giving my son one but he wouldn't take it or if he did he would throw it somewhere. It only took a few times of that before I just said fuck it and didn't try anymore. I'm glad to because watching other parents ween their kid off them looks terrible.
