Inside of us lies the ability to change the world as we know it. It has nothing to do with money or survival of the fittest. We have been doing that for a very long time and it has gotten us to the point to where we are today. Everything around us seems to be crashing down and all that all hope is lost. Well, it isn't. The one single key to restoring harmony to the world is by loving ourselves above all.

There are two basic emotions that control the human body. They are fear and love. Everything else we experience is a particular flavor of one or the other based upon our current state of mind or heart I should say. When we experience either love or fear our hearts beat at a particular frequency as can be seen on EKG machines. The frequency that our heat beats at when we are filled with love is the very same frequency that scientists say the earth, moon and entire solar system beat at as well. Filling our hearts with love only serves to put as in harmony with the world around us.

We often get hung up on words like can't and won't and even worse is “what if.” These words only serve to keep us feeling hopeless and lost and ultimately all alone. Turning the perspective to can, will and positively focusing on what will be is how we change the negative feelings into ones of happiness, joy and ultimately, love. The shivers our body senses is the light of love filling our every molecular structure with that positive energy. That energy then surrounds us and our world is no longer the dark place full of fear but that of light, joy, grand possibility for the future. Loving ourselves from within can have a grand impact everyone and everything in the most profound way.

What we all need to understand is that everything that has ever happened before this very moment has happened for a very specific reason. We can not go back and change the past and get the same results that we have right now today. All we can do is accept it as it happened, forgive that it happened and remove that bit of fear and replace it with love. The more this happens the more and more our hearts are filled with love and the world around us becomes the most amazing place to be.

The other part of this that we have put too much of our love into the external things in our life and not the internal. This is all of the materialistic things that society values, the things we were taught to think, the way we were taught to act and giving our love to people without leaving any for ourselves. Turn off the television, quit listening to radio, search out independent news sources that give varying view points on a situation and above all, THINK for ourselves. When we change our perception of what is really valuable in this world it becomes a much greater place in which to live.

We are not alone in this either. We are single people going through life fending for ourselves. We are a collective whole and what we do affects everyone on a planetary scale. Everything thought and action has a direct response to everyone and everything. So by filling our hearts with love and loving from within we are able to fill the world love around us. That is right, first we fill our cells with the energy of love, then our hearts and in doing so our world around us becomes the most harmonious place we could have ever dreamed of.

When I was thinking about writing this earlier this morning I had a brief moment of “What if people don't like it?” I recognized that as my own fear of what others think and dismissed it and turned into “How many people are going to like it?” See how easy it can be to take a negative though and turn it into a positive force that helps share my own love with all of you?

We don't really know how powerful love can be until we experience for ourselves.

Hmm. A little bit new age for my taste, but I like the message :)

Very nice statement, Brittany, very well thought of, good and well constructed argument. We’re often so caught up in our own little set of preoccupations, our own little interest that we tend to forget the “broad picture”. You are right: our sole attitude can be a decisive changing factor of our society, if we are just willing to focus a bit more on that broader perspective in a spirit of understanding; I truly believe that myself. And yes, there’s nothing that give as much its meaning to life as love, whom and what we love and how much; most of the rest is bull…
Well said, lady!

Good post Brittany. I have been a skeptcal ass for most of my life. All of that changed when I quit drinking and looked deep within to find the causes of internal pain. I have made some major changes and learn to forgive and forget. In the process I have learned to open a once blackend heart to love. I have been dating a guy the last few weeks and for the first time in years I feel happy truly happy.

P.S. Thank you for the advice you gave me awhile back, I have taken it to heart.
