Of contemporary directors, Takashi Miike would surely make the most challenging given that he has used ts in his films several times, and a sub-text in Ichi the Killer is the importance to some people of sado-masochism. I don't like 'torture porn' whoever is in it, so maybe Ridley Scott could do it as part of a sexual essay on the future.
