What do you mean, oko, by hermaphrodite? Do you mean transsexual women?
Some form of intersexuality exist, but real cases of total bi-gender individuals are so exceptional it is hardly as if it was existing at all. I think there are only two cases in medical records, and only from a time at which such observations can be put into question.
As far as intersexuality goes, cases in which a baby is born with ambiguous genitalia, doctors usually operate very fast to “correct” the anatomy toward the tendency of the body, or if you will, toward the sexual characteristics that are the most developed. It is a controversial practice today, but it is still in use most everywhere.
As to transsexualism, it is most definitely a biological condition, obviously related to foetal development, and most probably related to a region of the brain surrounding the cerebral trunk and more precisely close to the hypothalamus –it’s at least what some promising researches tend to demonstrate. As a consequence, you could probably include it in the category of intersex individuals, from a medical standpoint, but if you think you can find someone with both male and female organs, I’m afraid you’ll be very disappointed. It’s a pure fantasy. You don’t expect some type of futanary, do you?

His posting habits have been a bit strange:

What 's the point of starting another thread asking about her when there's already an existing thread:

Kimora (London, visiting) http://hungangels.com/vboard/showthread.php?t=59396

in which you posted the same question 13 minutes ago?

He has a serious lack of clear thinking asking for info on three t-girls - two fakes and a Rolex thief (allegedly) - then a request for a genetic girl with large clit.:confused::confused:

I remember back in the 80's seeing an ad for a "hermaphrodite" video, and a service were guys could meet such a person, witn pictures showing women with perfectly formed penis and a vagina, but looked fake as hell. The ad went on to say that they were the "perfect" sex partner, since a guy could penetrate the vagina and then she could plow him like a corn field lol. I have to wonder how many guys got taken for a ride with that "herm dating service".

Yes, there are cases of intersexuation, but it’s always in between, either a small penis and a small vagina, or a functional vagina and a big clit; you don’t really have both at the same time. We human beings only have one pair of gonads; they can become either testicles or ovaries; the rest can be well or under developed. That’s what intersexuation is in general, to put things simply. Many cases of intersexuation are caused by the Androgen Insensivity Syndrome, which can be more or less pronounced.

The Intersex Society of North America has this to say on the subject:

Is a person who is intersex a hermaphrodite?

No. The mythological term “hermaphrodite” implies that a person is both fully male and fully female. This is a physiologic impossibility.
The words “hermaphrodite” and “pseudo-hermaphrodite” are stigmatizing and misleading words. Unfortunately, some medical personnel still use them to refer to people with certain intersex conditions, because they still subscribe to an outdated nomenclature that uses gonadal anatomy as the basis of sex classification. In a paper titled Changing the Nomenclature/Taxonomy for Intersex: A Scientific and Clinical Rationale (http://www.isna.org/node/979), five ISNA-associated experts recommend that all terms based on the root “hermaphrodite” be abandoned because they are scientifically specious and clinically problematic. The terms fail to reflect modern scientific understandings of intersex conditions, confuse clinicians, harm patients, and panic parents. We think it is much better for everyone involved when specific condition names are used in medical research and practice.
To read more about the Victorian origins of the medical terminology of “true” and “pseudo” hermaphroditism, check out chapter 5 of Alice Dreger’s Hermaphrodites and the Medical Invention of Sex (http://www.isna.org/books/medicalinvention) which is available at our bookshelf (http://www.isna.org/library/books), or go to our FAQ called What’s the history behind the intersex rights movement? (http://www.isna.org/faq/history).
One more thing: While some intersex people seek to reclaim the word “hermaphrodite” with pride to reference themselves (http://www.isna.org/videos/hermaphrodites_speak) (much like the words “dyke” and “queer” have been reclaimed by LBGT people), we’ve learned over the years it is best generally avoided, since the political subtlety is lost on a lot of people.
