Lord Goatse was wondering if the learned members of this forum had come across the work of John Howard (in any sense of the phrase). Lord Goatse first encountered his art when I was in bed with a sore back. My bulter, Bentley, brought me a copy of 'Buttman' magazine to read. It cheered me up considerably, although it did little for my back. Featured prominently was the rather subtle work of John Howard. I have since acquired the volumes of 'Shemale trouble' and 'Horny Biker Sluts' for the library in Goatse Towers.

For those who have not come across his work, may I broaden your horizons.

Though Howard's work is a little extreme for my tastes (For differing values of 'extreme'), his comix were hot sellers for me when I was doing the book circuit.

One of the occupational hazards of dealing with books and mags is that you sometimes actually end up reading the stuff.

It is a bit out there but to each his/her own.

While I'm not a fan of his style, his work is among the best in the undergrounds of the last twenty years. My tastes lean more to softer lines, somewhat like anime/manga (But not always so cutesy). Howard's work could be grouped with Robert Crumb, who also had a hard/dark feel to his art.

I like Casa De Howhard style of artwork.

His work reminds me of S. Clay Wilson's stuff...
