But yes, I always like John Cusack in this type of movie. It was a strange mix of genres, you know? Not too hard and not soft either, something of a family movie but with a bit more action, a bit more drive. Some images were breathtaking, like the one with the monk on top of a mountain when the gigantic wave comes…

I prefer slow ones that don't use weapons but I don't condemn a film if it breaks Romero's Rules. It's best not to have standards too high if you're a fan of Zombie Films. I call Burial Ground the best bad Zombie Movie ever.

I search for it but couldn’t find it. Girls were coming out of the wood topless and run between the zombies. I think one was coloring her face with war paint and essentially nude, was throwing herself in the battle…

You’re right, Prospero. It’s pretty much like how we arrived at the end of 1999’s calendar… We then just bought a new one. It’s just a big misinterpretation of Mayan beliefs.
Strange, though, how people are fascinated with the idea of the end. We know of such occurrence in the past (and at time, you can understand why they felt like that, with the epidemics and wars; I’m sure you know of B. Brecht’s “Mother courage”, a good metaphoric depiction…). And we remember the recent Y2K announcement. I remember also a much milder, but similar scare before 1984… For as far back as we can think of, there were such prophecies. Expression of sorrows, as said in the U2’s vid.
I know I won’t sound very joyous, but I tend to think we’re slowly getting there. I doubt we’ll have the benefit of some huge catastrophe to end it fast, though… It will rather be slow and terrible.
I’ve never been a big fan of western music, but Johnny Cash’s “When the man comes around” is nice also.

2012 was a terrible movie and the world will not end this year. We would not get so lucky as a species. We are doomed to live it this world we have created. There is a better chance of Apophis hitting us in 2036 than the earth ending in 2012. I had a scooby-doo 3 year calender when I was a kid and It sucked when it ended but nothing bad happened, they just ran out of paper to print carnival monsters on. The Mayan like all the rest just have to end at some point, they just simply finished the design....period. I hope I get a new "The Far Side" desk calender this christmas

I’m pretty sure the end of the world is creeping in on us just as we speak now, just as good, well behaved people are sleeping. The end is there not too far coming on. It’s the neutrinos, an asteroid, a super virus, the end of a calendar or the snow ball effect of some terrible interpersonal misunderstanding. It’s the fed up housewife provoking a chain reaction by kicking out her boring hubby, or the rainy day when you want to go out take a walk. Something’s gonna give. You feel it in the air. It’s knocking at the door. Zombies. Or you know, that movie? “I see dead people. They don’t know that they’re dead. They just walk around and act as they normally would”…
