Rest In Peace. I'm a major fan of 1970s sitcoms and The Jeffersons was one of the best. Watch re-runs if you never watched it before.

Did a stint in the Navy and the post office before his acting career. He will be missed.

A rare feat in show biz history. To play the same main character in 2 long running TV shows. He was so convincing as Mr Jefferson. He was always crabby and seemed like he hated everyone.... but we loved him

reminded me a little of my late dad.

RIP George. They should bury him next to Carroll O'Conner.

I saw this on the news web today. I instantly thought...not that was a show Dino made must watch TV. Thanks for confirming ! Was this the show that sexy black chic was married to that goofy white dude? Were they some relation to The Jeffersons?

Yeah, that's the show. That couple were neighbors of the Jeffersons. The black woman, Roxie Roker, is Lenny Kravitz's mom. I think she passed away a few years ago.

One of my favorite shows when I was a kid. Always enjoyed catching the re-runs too.

Rip Mr Jefferson.
