The recent Batman movies have definitely been the best.

But Anne Hathaway? She's so oddly beautiful- with her as Catwoman, I'd see this movie a dozen times even if it sucks.

I really liked the latest one, I think, before this. Was it just “The Dark Knight”? The one in which Todd Heath played the Joker. Every line he had to pronounce was just delirious. I can’t remember having so much fun about a movie villain...

Yes, Ben, thanks ! He was amazing ! I think he passed on, since then, hasn’t he? What a loss. He was so funny in that movie. I used to watch the series when I was little, and the after a few of the movies. Jack Nicholson was good, but Heath Ledger just reinvented the role…

Just woke up to some horrible news. A crazed gunman has killed 14 and wounded 50 at a late night showing in Colorado. MY prayers go out to all the victims, their friends and family. Hopefully, no one from this board was present.

Yes, todlers shouldn't be anywhere but bed after 10pm. So to drag a baby along with you to a 12am movie should be a crime in itself.

Anyway my heart goes out to those victims and their families... And I hope they treat this like a terrorist act, meaning no trial no rights just a on way ticket straight to the blue flames of hell.

Spoken by someone who clearly doesn't have children. For starters, a three-month-old is an infant, not a toddler. Secondly, their sleep isn't regular yet. If they're up at midnight, then they're up at midnite. If they're tired at 2PM, then they're sleeping.

Whole lotta judgement up in here. All of these people died and you guys nitpick a person's parenting for being in the wrong place at the wrong time. WTF is wrong with some of you?

Troll Alert!

Sounds like somebody is bored and wants to go back and forth with Chase (Mcthirsty) Otherwise you wouldn't be making an ass out of yourself by assuming you know anything about me...

So other than living on a Planet obviously called "Inconsiderate Douche Bag" Where is it ever okay for an infant or a toddler to be at a movie theater at 12 midnight????

You obviously ignored my second paragraph in order to "nitpick" at me since anyone else with half a brain would know that setting a proper babysitter for that child would've "PREVENTED INJURY".

A responsible parent has spoken and this discussion with you is over...

She is dead on with small kids, try babysitting a kid that young, they don't know what bed time is. Furthermore I remember watching Michael Keaton's Batman when I was young, do you have to be 18. Its not porn, the dark knight is PG-13. I guess no kid should watch Star Wars till they are 13. I agree with BB, people were harmed and lost love ones that should be the concern.

I made that clear in my second paragraph so stop chasing brownie points. Both of you would be the mains one sounding off and ranting if you were next so someone's screaming little brat during a 3 hour movie so get some perspective soon and stop thinking "Life-is-fiction" for everyone else.

The point of that comment was that no 3 month old belongs in a movie theater for a film that's not likely to end until "THREE IN THE DAMN MORNING!" This parent or parents put their personal wants before their own child's. But I guess being a responsible parent doesn't factor in to your boot licking...

So again for those who are "reading impaired", "My heart and condollences got out to all the victims and their families."

But it doesn't go with out saying that common sense does prevent some tragedies...

Oh yeah, as a parent, I totally agree that it's common sense to consider that your child may be killed by a crazed gunman at a movie theater. You're right, what an idiot this guy must have been to not see that one coming. Movie theaters are like combat zones. How dangerous! I'll never take my son to a movie again. I apologize. I'm totally the troll here, not you. </sarcasm>

Simply expressing your condolences does nothing to negate the fact that you're blaming the victim here, and as someone who knows far too much about that than she would like, I resent it.

No one could've anticipated that happening but even if that weren't the case the a baby should not have been in a movie theater at 12 in the morning....PERIOD!!! Dark knight was roughly 3hrs long with coming attractions included so the odds of the kid staying quiet would be ZERO! So why bring'em??? See that's where common sense comes into play....

So if stating the obvious makes me an asshole, then I'll be the asshole with safe and healthy children...resent that all you want.

Common sense, huh? Those two sentences are a total non-sequitur. Sounds to me like you're just pissed off because you wouldn't want that crying baby or six year old in 'your' movie theater. If you can so easily conflate that with a child getting killed, then I weep for yours.

Known many incarnations of Batman, but don't ever recall the villian Hush...

He was a childhood friend of Bruce Wayne's who killed his parents to get their money.
Became a master surgeon and masked criminal just as skilled as Batman.
He even performed plastic surgery on his own face to look like Bruce Wayne to claim his fortune after Batmans "death“.
Think of him as Batmans shadow.

My police officer father took me to see The Exorcist when I was 6. No problem. See? Documentary when you're that young and Catholic. Shortly afterwards I tried to summon my grandfather breaking the outer circle of the star on our driveway to unleash the Beast. Heard some rattling in the attic that night.

How do you equate 3 months to 6 years..?

Where you....a slow child?

One of the children was 3 months, the other 6 years, apparently. But really, a three-month-old has no idea what's happening on screen at all, so I fail to see the problem from a guidance perspective. Regardless, it seems to me that Mr. McThirsty is much more concerned about having a 'quiet' theater than protecting children.

I would never repeat what my dad did. He knew it would traumatize a 6 year old but wanted to toughen his son up. I was not allowed to cry, yell, or make a sound in the theater. My mother was furious and I had nightmares and vomiting fits for a week.

I didn't blame my father because I knew his father.

I hope so- and I didn't realize it was something they were considering. Terry's character is a much better choice to take up the mantle (and cowl) than any of Bruce Wayne's wards - and we obviously have the technology to move the films ahead a generation.

The villains will need some work- thinking about the jokers gang now, I imagine a bunch of bath salt tweakers roaming the streets.

People don't need to do that. Until I was 9 I thought Dracula was a good guy that these busy-bodies were harassing. Seemed like such a gentleman with great hospitality. Animal lover too.

The first line of the story is all you need to really know.......the rest of it, and thousands of articles that are being written as we speak, is pure speculation, wild theorizing, political posturing, and flat out bullshit. Let's learn the names of the departed before we start the amateur pop psychology shit. Because if all these wasted words had any affect at all, shit like this would have ended at Colombine.

"We still don’t know enough about the shootings during a midnight screening of “The Dark Knight Rises” in suburban Denver to say much about the motivations of the gunman"

Hush wasn't Elliot and it's only presumed to be Elliot, it's never shown for sure. We know he's involved but we don't know that the person Batman fights is actually him. The real villain in Hush is The Riddler. Hush isn't a name of a person, it's the name of their plan.
