who here would be interested in a tranny convention?

i know there are conventions for porn in general, but i feel like a transsexual convention would be a good idea. do one in new york and one in california. all of the video companies could be represented and a bunch of girls could be there to sign autographs and do q and a's. i know most guys like to do discreet things so im not sure how they would feel about going to a place in the daytime that was a tranny convention, but the idea could be worked on.

also as part of the idea there would be autograph booths, dvd and merchandise locations, stage for performances and q and a's, and a lounge type area for singles looking to mingle. lol

The idea is interesting but I doubt you'd have very much luck convincing girls who are trying more and more to 'mainstream' to take part.

Even something as beneficial to the actual models themselves such as the TA's maybe had... what... 30%-40% optimistically of the actual overall talent in the industry in attendance?

You've got to deal with logistics, expenses, compensation, etc. etc. etc. Hate to be the naysayer but I think this idea is DOA without MAJOR connections both within and outside the industry.

We MAY look at doing something like this before the Tranny Awards this year - basically a small meet and greet event for girls to sell their autographed DVD's, meet the fans, etc. The problem is it's hard to get enough people to it to make it worthwhile.

Actually would be fairly easy to do in conjunction with the awards show in February.

Choose a hotel to host the event and give them a guarantee of rooms that will be blocked off for the guests coming in. Get enough reserved and discounts start kicking in plus access to meeting rooms.

The sponsors are already in so they would just need to get someone to man a booth at the host hotel.

Throw in a breakfast and it is a natural extension for the Awards weekend.

There are thousands of Transgender people in this country (low estimate?) who have nothing to do with and want nothing to do with porn or the sex industry. Like Token said if you really want to hang out with a lot of the girls who post here and whose pics are here, hit either the AVN's in Vegas in January or the Tranny Awards in LA in February.

Both of those events are well attended by the girls.
