i have been shooting for grooby, strokers and a few othe sites in ts/straight niches .. seems to go well ..got more stuff planned this year with other companies to ..

my personal favourtie tog presently is probably nick. though i have to say Isa shot the most amazing photos of me i have ever had done presently though the stuff i shot with Trigger on weekend (the old grooby uk tog) was impressive interms of lighting etc . we set up my new lights, camera etc and test run it nicely .

Hiroshi's Japanese content is awesome. Blackula is shooting some fantastic content also. Kevin Dong's stuff has came up massively in the past few months and you're going to like his new stuff. Ladyboy.xxx shooter Terry is also very very good. Established people like Nick, Bob, Buddy, Frank, PK etc. aren't the only ones out there shooting any longer.

I think there is so much retouching on some people's sets before they reach market that it's hard to judge the photography skills equally (although the end-game doesn't matter, it depends whether the consumer likes it and is willing to pay).

As technically and creatively brilliant as some of the mentioned photographers are it doesn't necessarily mean that's great photography for the porn side of things, it take a lot more than good lighting and camera skills to turn people on and have them buy.

Often it depends on the sites/DVD releases and whether they fulfil what they're meant to do.
As producers? Joey's stuff still hits home. Buddy Wood's perspective always works, what he misses sometimes technically he more than makes up for in creativity (and if he edits his own video content it's untouchable). Liberty/Joanna team seem to press all the right buttons in terms of quality and horniness. Tony Vee's photosets are ... "unique" but he comes alive in video. Blackula seems to work well on pretty much every level. I think Nick shoots most of the stuff for TgirlPinups and the overall look on that site, is some of the prettiest content around. KilaKali has been getting some great content also. I'd say overall for balance of skill of photography/lighting, creativity, style and horniness then Hiroshi (whom many of you met in January) is my personal favourite.
There is no one answer as there are so many really good shooters, producing different types of work. I look forward to what people like Kevin Dong, Brittany St.Jordan, Terry (Ladyboy.xxx) and a few other newer shooters are going to producer in the future and where their perspetives will take us.

Having edited the three photosets he shot for me, let me simply say :dead:. His video work is awesome.

That's some of it -- it seems like each producer tends to have a strength in one area and a weakness in the other.

Shoving the repetitive stuff down the throat of the consumer and calling it the standard is hardly fair. I am willing to bet that if shoots looked like Maxim, FHM or even Playboy but with TS models that people would buy it in a fucking heartbeat.

What sells in TS porn today sells because it is a handful of companies working with the same producers churning out the same stuff. There is nobody out there taking things to a new level. Unfortunately, I don't have the bank account to make that happen.

Take the Transromantic series being released by Nica Noelle for example. It is totally different than anything being done out there in TS porn and it is being welcomed by almost everyone in porn as a fucking brilliant piece of work. It took a producer who primarily shoots lesbian porn and the pockets of AEBN to make it happen too.

The #1 issue with TS porn is is mainly produced, edited and controlled creatively by men. If about five of us TS girls with some creative abilities with shooting, editing and marketing were able to combine our efforts I am willing to bet we would be the top of the TS market within two years, if not sooner.

Since we don't have the money it would take to launch such a venture we will continue to get by on creating the same thing over and over again because it is the same old boring "standard" set by those who do have the means to do so.

And I guess good lighting and camera skills aren't all that hot either

Remy's been doing some great stuff also over on the East coast - her latest hardcore of Amber is awesome and I'll preview it soon. I loved the very first shoots of Bailey Jay that Remy took before any of us had seen her. Also Remy's first shoots of BSJ were among my faves of her.

We've a couple of new guys producing a shoot here and there from other US places which are looking quite nice also.

When you shoot a DVD like "Shemale in Stall #4" do you need SAG cards, and licensing and all that stuff?

Personally, I always love the lighting and angles that Frank employs in his shoots and I think he has the shots that I most often go, 'wow' when I see them. That being said, (it is hard for me to keep track of) I really love the newer sets that Domino Presley has done as well. And creatively, I think the guy(s) at Shemale Japan do an awesome job with their shoots.
