This is the movie in which our man, proven sophisticate for almost 60 years, sups Heineken - Heineken!!! - because of a product placement deal.

Ian Fleming is spinning in his grave.

Dislike this version of the Bond franchise. Still can only see Connery as the real Bond.

Mind you real afficiandos of the book say that George Lazenby came closest to capturing the Bond that Fleming imagined.

And Heineken? Shaken or stirred?

Daniel Craigs bond is the best since connery i reckon.

Its brought a bit of grit / hardness to Bond that we havent seen , and gone (thank fuck) are the cheese of Moore and Brosnan.

Daniel Craigs Bond is the best Bond imho for the soul reason, there was no reason to be afraid of the other bond actors' portrayal of them. They never came off as dangerous. This Bond closer Ian Flemmings Bond will kill you heartlessly and still look good doing it. I have been waiting for this movie for awhile. We all know the next person to play Bond will be Clive Owens, there is no other choice. Thanks for heads up Seanchai.

Thought the same when Tim Dalton was Bond.

But the original Bond films had a sense of fun, a sense of humour. The new Bond is just a tough nut and the films are just like scores of other shoot em up chase films. He lacks the wit and debonair charm that Connery brought to the part.

James Bond is to world cinema what the Big Mac is to world cuisine, same every time. Can't think of anything else to say about either.

I support this idea greatly.

I went to Attack of the Clones when it was in the IMAX theatre. My date asked why I was so excited: I said "20 foot tall Natalie Portman tits."

The sex was really good after the movie ;).

RoberLouis: Ian Fleming was not above a good bit of product placement himself. Its the fact of the beer drinking Bond, not the brand that bothers me.

The only choice for a female Bond is Kate Beckinsale, period.

Clive Owen is too lightweight and small shouldered to be James Bond. He can act, and he would have to do a whole lot of it because Clive could not kick anyone's ass.

George Lazenby in the long run would have been better than Roger Moore. OHMSS is not bad at all (aside from the sappy Bond in love stuff)

Take a look at Killer Elite, you might change your mind about that.

Not too familiar with this Killer Elite but I like the Peckinpah film with Robert Duvall and James Caan. Was it a remake?

No, it's supposed to be based on a true story (so it says).

Killer Elite is a terrible film, the script is poor, the acting, where there is any, is wooden, the story, allegedly 'based' on true events, doesn't work as a film.

I can see why so many people like the old fashion Bonds. One of my favorite Bond movies was, "Never Say Never Again." But if your like me and has watched a ton of Bonds before Daniel Craigs’ version then you have to admit there was several annoying problems. Bond, at some point seemed too comical in some of his movies Roger Moore driving the car in Octopussy, sigh and lets not forget his running on Alligators heads (which was real and freaky stunt, but still stupid). The movies had more slow parts than a political speech and the biggest problem is Bond could only save himself by using some ridiculous gadget. He wasn't never scary just some suave guy with a stupid gadget, including the only hardcore scene of the series where he wanted revenge for his wife and he still wasn't scary

Look Jason Bourne was the first spy movie (American, yea) to have some freak of nature killing machine that was scary, cold and damn right awesome. Bond is supposed to be a hit man, with suave and a good taste for women. He was Britsh Navy officer and I don’t think they had to rely on gadgets to win. I don't care what people think about him, but the best example of what Bond is suppose to be was at the end of Casino Royal when he introduced himself as Bond to Mr. White. That made my day.
