Worth a watch. I'm not entirely sure what the company "gets" about girls. Apparently only real women can use tampons and the company hasn't considered any other possibilities if stuffing a tampon into an orifice is a proof positive of true femininity. Maybe it's a down under thing in Oz and NZ.

why would a tranny need a tampon? women use tampons because they have to. and i can understand "other possibilities" in their use (creativity is a great thing), but their original purpose is well known.

Difficult to see what the idea behind the commercial was.The only thing is the pun 'Libra gets girls'. Here 'gets girls' can mean that the product, like some sort of gigolo, gets a lot of women customers,or that it understands women's psychology and intimate needs or more crudely that it "gets" all their menstrual discharges.

It's not a good ad. I don't think it will make women want to go out and buy the tampon

You could make an argument it's transphobic,as the transgendered woman's anatomical and physiological differences to a female are treated in a light-hearted and mocking way.


Not something , I think,that would be worth complaining about,though.




Far better,just from an advertising perspective, was the Hema bra ad involving Andrej Pejic.The message was :just look at what this push-up bra can do for the cleavage of a man with no breasts.Think of what it can do for you,ladies....
