Too late for most of us. Last year my family tried to do an intervention to save my soul but failed miserably losing much of their own faith when they got booted back to Texas. :rock2

Rev. Harry Powell: There are things you do hate, Lord. Perfume-smellin' things, lacy things, things with curly hair.

I'm a little surprised that some of those most in need of tolerence are so intolerent of others.

So what if Lisa Lawer is now following a different path.

Are you serious? You don't even think a kid in a hoodie deserves tolerance. In your eyes, he's automatically "up to no good".

And "the people most in need"? You're patronizing us? Grow a pair and step out of your closet, and maybe you'll learn that you're more "in need" of tolerance than any of us are.

In fact, tell us, who in your life knows you're here looking at chicks with dicks. Your family? Your friends? How much "tolerance" would they show you?

1. i am intolerant of tolerance.

2. i am an atheist and have no regard to bible thumpers

3. if one cannot state their opinion as fact and criticize others, this forum would die

In John 8:1 - 11 Pharisees had caught a woman in the act of adultery (the woman commonly referred to as the prostitute) and told Jesus who was teaching in the temple that the Mosaic Law required she be stoned to death. Trying to make an opportunity of this to trick Jesus that they might accuse Him, they, with stones in hand, asked Jesus what He says about the Law. After Jesus tried to ignore their repeated questioning, He told them "He that is without sin among you, let him first cast a stone at her." One by one each man dropped his stone and walked away.

My grandma tried to "convert me Christian" before she died. I hated having to have that talk with her. I almost felt bad enough to actually do it just to make her happy, but I had to explain to her that it's far worse if I just pretend like I'm Christian until she's gone because that's exactly what would have happened. She wouldn't talk to me for a week, but I think she eventually got it.

Nice fairy tale.
Unless Jesus was using his Jedi mind-control powers, that would never ever happen. People have this thing called free will and independent thought. Somebody is going to throw a rock. Somebody always throws the rock.

WTF? I'm not sure Treyvon made it into this thread.

However as a Republican, borderline Libertarian and lapsed Presbyterian, I think most everyone deserves "tolerance." Since changing or not changing one's sex is one of the most personal things a person can make a decision upon; I think whatever choice they make should be respected. Why give Lisa Lawer grief if she has changed her mind and wants to follow another path? What is up with the modern day Liberals who keep encouraging "group think."

Secondly, in the other thread to which you refer, I don't think I made any comments with regard to hoodies and criminal intent. However, if someone is skulking around a neighborhood in which he does not live, I believe that person should be viewed as suspicion until proved otherwise. The point I made in the other thread was that we should not rush to judgement based on false media reports of the story (a la the Duke rape case, where the Liberal media and race hustlers had the Duke Lacross team tried and covicted of rape [I will note that the alledged victim in that case recently murdered her boyfriend (even though she was black and a woman)]).

First it was "strolling", and now it's "skulking"; as is you were there and know just what the hell he was doing other than returning with his candy.

Just admit that you're intimidated by black people and that you don't like them.

A black guy (who doesn't live in your gated community) but is strolling around it is likely up to no good.

Oh, excuse me. It wasn't exactly a black guy in hoodie. You simply think any black guy not from a gated community is up to no good. *smdh

Treyvon's race has little to do with my view of the situation. If it had been a white punk that was assaulting a member of the neighborhood watch and then got shot for his troubles, I would have the same opinion that is was justifiable homicide.

What I don't agree with is when the race hustlers like Al Sharpton insert themselves into the situation claiming that there was a racial motivated crime here. In my view, the more we learn about Treyvon and what happened that night, the more it looks like a repeat of the Duke rape case and the Tawana Brawley case (manufactured facts to suit a narrative that whites are out to get blacks). There would be a lot less outrage if NBC and others in the media would have abstained from presenting doctored evidence to the public.

If I should have prophecy and know all mysteries and all knowledge, and if I should have all faith, so that I could remove mountains, and have not charity, I am nothing.
Count your blessings! Be nice to somebody! Happy Easter!!!
