Let me preface this by saying I love posting here and appreciate all you do here.

I've become far more active in recent weeks and to be honest something's been bugging me and i can't stay silent anymore.

the fact that so many people post over-sized pictures here, can make going through a thread annoying.

Is here any chance a hack like this one:

could be applied to the board to automatically resize some of these down to a more reasonable size? I'd appreciate it and, I suspect so would many others.

heheh I'm at 1280 x 720.

And most resizers work like you describe.

It's showing up at 1280 -- I assumed that was full size since that's typically grooby standards...

besides, shouldn't the point of resizing to get it to like 600 so two side-bysides fit w/o scrolling.

No it's larger than that we moved out sizes up recently.

What do you actually use those monitors for? Watching movies? Playing video games? Both are optimized to run on much lower screen resolutions. Having to stretch video makes it look worse, and your games automatically adjust your resolution down anyhow. I really doubt you do anything all that important on those beasts like video editing or serious media design. You just don't seem like the intellectual or creative type. An ultra-high resolution is detrimental while reading text or browsing the web, but that's probably new news to you.

So, basically your opinion is not only unfounded, but wrong. That seems pretty normal.

Science Fiction is huge for me: particularly Star Wars and Star Trek.

I collect Action Figures (in fact if I actually showed my collection - folks in the Star Wars collecting community would likely know: 1) what my former male name was and 2) where I live lol)

I'm an avid comic book reader: I grew up on the X-Men and while I still like them I enjoy a lot of Indie titles right now including Atomic Robo; Mouse Guard; Time Lincoln and Stuff of Legends.

I'm a big movie buff - I particularly love the classics. This morning I watched some of Captain Blood.

I'm a casual gamer -- I love the LEGO games.

My day job is as an operational analyst and I spend most of my day digging in data... ; I love the actual work just not the BS which goes with it.

I prefer to hand code html.

I snort when I laugh.

Give me time I'll remember more to add... LOL
