bear in mind you will need to shoot upfront about 24 scenes ...so you can launch a site with content to attract members and have at least 2 months of updates in the can already showing in the whats next ..

so your going to be looking roughly just for model fee alone about $19200 dollars before you even start on front end design of the website, CMS integration/design, hosting ... then marketing ... then you need to get your billing system inplace ...

Not to mention camera equipment you will need.. mid range SLR still camera, a semi decent HD Vid camera. Lighting setups etc ..

No problem with competition sites, lets be honest all the fucking site are the same these days anyway ..its about shooting quality looking content, clean content, and just ramming out the number of updates .. content is king ..

sounds like a great idea. i'd love to help with this. i have a ton of great ideas.

in regards to the current content out there, i just wanted to say that my issue with it isn't the quality, but the quantity. if you look at bangbros or brazzers they have thousands of videos and pictures. tranny sites don't have near that amount. i understand there isn't a huge variety in terms of girls, but quantity seems like it's lacking. my other issue is the variety of girls. why aren't the non-american girls used more on american sites? can anybody help answer that? lol

Good luck! its a lot of money and trouble and the way porn is going these days with piracy and free tube sites. i always wondered with piracy why production houses haven't switched to packet streaming only feed to make it at least 2 step harder for pirates...i.e. identifying the stream and then converting it. i don't pirate porn but i suspect that most pirates are just downloading the avis/wmvs/mp4s and reuploading...if it were a streaming video, in packets, the pirates would have to get all of them, reconnect them, convert them and then upload them.

just an idea for your site to protect your investment.

one other note...if you were going to get "local" talent, your model fees would be lower than what libby suggested. if you want mid-top level talent...you will have to pay for it.

Thanks for all the advice. Let me clear things up, I'm not looking to "make millions". I'm just a long time fan of tgirl porn whose looking for an alternative from the big dogs in the market and solo girl sites. I'm not looking to "get rich quick" or exploit the market. I understand it cost money and obviously I'm getting no bites for real partners here who are willing to split at least some of the cost with me. Your problem simply lies in that you dont enough money to get it going ...if i were to invest $40k into you , what skills will you bring to the table that i dont have? are you a web developer? are you a photoshop wizard? are you a video editor ? do you already have the required camera equipment? do you understand marketing? affiliation networking ? Do you understand how to deal with piracy etc .. see where i am going ..if you have nothing other than a cookie cutter idea for a generic ts pornsite no one will invest ..simple logics of business .

Now if i was you and seriously hell bent on doing this .. this is how i would approach it if i couldnt get investors etc

(1) forget trying to setup a standalone payiste model , instead I would look to www.clips4sale.com and those various types.. thre are a few big ones...

(2) I would buy a macbookpro laptop quadcore or Imac 27inch and get it setup up with photoshop / FCX / Compressor / Flip4mac HD Studio .. so you can edit videos/photosets etc ..

(3) Obtain a copy of a model release & 2257 form that you can bastardise to be your own ..

(4) Models - now if you as you claim are able to procure models to work for you on the cheap then great .. bear in a mind an average hardcore fee is $800usd per scene ..so lets say you get a girl to do it for $400.00 . but you wont be getting current known girls etc ...

(5) I would just feed clips4sale/variant sites with 3/4 different versions of the same in video formats ...probably do this as often as i can ... also i would use clips4sale membership site area as well .. yes you can also have a basic paysite setup there as well.. its nothing pretty etc but its functional ...

From this you would see what money you make over say a year , and then maybe after a year if you have saved up enough money etc you could look into branding out into a proper paysite model ...all depends really on how well you do with clips4sale .. problem with clips4sale is you have to constant feed the site to get it to work ..

Personally your better off shooting scenes and selling them onto bigger companies and build up a profit that way .. save up your money needed to launch your own a year down the line ..
