I once had the misfortune to spend a week in the Paris of the West Coast. My colleagues and I had some of the worst food we have ever eaten. Went to a Wax museum that was ludicrous. Had them turn the illuminations on specially for us (which was great. I kid you not). Had them play the wonderful organ in the tower especially for us. And rode the rollercoaster too often. But generally - eeek. It does have a great beach i gather x
