Who were the most famous Black performers at this year's AVNs??
Sometimes those reporters go to interview their friends/favorites, instead of tracking down the top grossers in their genre for interviews.

Hope it wasn't deliberate. I don't see the point from a business perspective.

I don't either but three black male performers already said they were denied

Black women in porn have lost a lot of popularity. They rarely get booked for non-ethic sites. Lacey Duvalle and Codi Bryant are the last two black women who were booked by every company ethic and non-ethic.

I don't get how the interviewer denies the interviewie? Doesn't the interviewer ask for the interview? :wiggle:

When you walk the red carpet you pose and do interviews and then they tell the people no thanks no need for you basically

When they normally interview about everyone

Porn has become so segregated into niche markets that almost every site caters to a very specific taste or fetish.
That's good and bad I guess.

IR porn is the only category that's still integrated, but even when there were more Black performers booked with non ethnic sites, most were just a token presence.

It wasn't just black performers....

Ts MichelleAustin wrote this on how they were treated in another thread

"Jesse, Brittany st. Jordan and myself were the only true transsexuals representing trannies at this whole event this wknd. Tonight at red carpet we were treated like horrible humans. Like we are nothing to these people. We heard them tell people nominees, contract stars and presenters go on red carpet first. When Jesse asked if she and Brit could go through they said no stay in line. Basically we were in line with fans who scored passes. In line for 3 hrs to walk red carpet. After we got off carpet we were told to leave while others were asked to do interviews. Jesse was shuffled to a empty hall way."

Jesse has walked it before, and I hope Mia and Wendy walked it.

I wonder if Juliette did.

I walked carpet around the same time Mia did -- we were near the front, around when the first presenters made it through. There were some interviews, but I'm not sure what determined who talked to who -- I'm *pretty sure* it was publicist related. I don't have one, so I only wound up doing a brief thing for Showtime.

I don't know about the other girls' experiences at all, but I wonder if part of it is related to when people showed up? Mia and I were both there before people were even supposed to start lining up. I dunno. Things were kind of poorly organised this year.
