Honestly, don't be afraid to try online sites. There are some beautiful and cool ladies out there with good personalities on these sites. They are not scams. If you want IRL, I say try a place where many transwomen socialize. Maybe an organization for tg rights or a bar but it will always be more difficult to find single TG women who fit what you are looking for than GG women who do since there are more GG than TG.
