View Full Version : Los Angeles or San Francisco???

Hi all!

I am planning a trip this week, and have a choice of going to either LA or SF. It's sort of a dilemma for me.

On one hand, I've heard of the SF club Divas, which I've never been to before. I hear that it's also open for business during the week. So, I figure I would have many nights to hang out and date.

On the other hand, in LA - I've heard of club 7969, which is (as I understand it) THE place to be on a Monday and Friday. If I arrive in LA this Weds or Thurs, that would only give me one night (Friday) to score. As I understand it club 7969 is only open on Monday and Friday, and that there are no other places to hang out during the week. Also, on eros, it appears that there are a lot more LA TS escorts than in SF.

Whether I go to LA or SF, I will not be renting a car - but instead rely on taxis to get around - so that may also limit my eros dating abilities. That's why I hoping to use the club scene to hook up - unless of course, they would be willing to meet me at a club.

If you were me, which city would be best? LA or SF?

Thanks,

SIS

P.S. - has anyone here ever asked an eros escort to show them around the TS club scene (for a $$ of course)? I figure there may be no better way to get the low down on a town than from a local.

LA may be better as far as the TS scene goes, but IMO San Franciso is a better city from virtually every other perspective.

yea, San Fran is a better city but L.A. is the place to score if that's the basis of the trip.

Asking one of the escorts might be a good idea. Tell me how that goes...

Well, neither city is a slouch in the TS dept. Eros currently shows *only* 60 girls v. LA's 114--but how many girls do you need? 1 or 2 should do it, no? I'm far more attracted to SF as a city, so I'd let that make my decision, along with scanning the listings for a girl I'd like to see.

SanFran has a cool vibe thats not present here in L.A.

You can also get around most of the city in a short period of time. Definately not the case in L.A.

Go with SF.

And screw the taxis, get the Muni Passport. Ride all day on the one fare (Trolleys, cable cars, buses, trackless coach) anywhere in the city. Take your gurl on a romantic cable car ride to Ghiradelli Square (There's some nice hotels within walking distance all along the Fisherman's Wharf/Embarcadero).

Dress warm, the weather is freaky there.

You know,

I live in the Bay Area and I've wanted to go to Diva's for a while, I just haven't.

If you wanna go, I'm down, and no (in case your wondering) I'm not gay.

At any rate, this week to check out Divas is probably as good as any.

Let me know.

I agree, San Francisco is great and you can walk or easily catch a ride wherever you need to go.

In my opinion its the better choice all around.

Just 'Beware The Bushman' down by Fisherman's Wharf. A rather creative street beggar, he can shock you to your senses rather quickly. :lol:

Since this is a TS board... 7969 is better than Divas in almost every way. Divas is a good place if you like pinay girls, but you tend to get more variety at Peanuts. You will see easily 5-10 models from Bobs Tgirls on any given night and 2-3 pornstars. Also easy 2-4x as many girls attend 7969 on any given nights.

I like the manager of 7969 and the owners of Divas the same. The neighborhood is better at 7969.

San Francisco is not a great city. If it didn't have character some might call it a shithole. It is unique maybe, but LA has much more to do.

Dagnabit.

I was leaning towards SF, but now I'm not so sure. The one thing about SF is that Divas is open during the week, so I was figuring that I had a better chance of hanging out with some T-Women...'ya know, just hanging out, having some drinks - small talk and what not.

If I went to LA this week, I'd only be able to catch Friday night at Club 7969. If I got cold feet or something, I'd be screwed up and not get to meet any of the ladies - and wind up coming back to Seattle with my tail between my legs.

Although, one alluring thing about LA for me was that I had (probably) my second best close encounter there. It wasn't through 7969 - but was through the LAXPRESS.

I haven't been to SF in quite some time, and have never been to Divas. I was there a long time ago, when The Motherload was in business. I don't recall that it was primarily Pinay (is that asian LadyBoys?). But, perhaps Divas is like that.

...nothing against asian LadyBoys of course...'cause I've never dated one before.

You see - the thing with me is that I would hope not to have to just call up some escort and do the wham-bam-thank-you-mame-thing. For me it's alot more enjoyable to get to know them a little bit first. That's why the meeting-them-in-a-club-thing appeals to me more than just dialing up an eros contact number.

Perhaps LA does have a lot more to do - but I think one needs to be a local to know what to do and where to do it. But then again, if I met a nice gal on Friday, maybe I could do some of those things with her on Sat and Sunday. But then - if I strike out - I'm screwed. I'm very confused (going through some mid-life changes).

...anyway...I will be needing to make my reservations tomorrow.

I'll have a few brewskies tonight and think it over.

Thanks all - SleeplessInSeattle

P.S. My motivation for this trip (aside from the obvious) is to just cut loose, and get a little wild, and rejuvenate myself. I want to stay out later than I normally do, sleep longer than I practically should, drink more than is reasonable, dance and pretend it's the 70's where smoking weed and getting silly weren't considered a crime

The 'Bushman' is a rather creative street/homeless person that sits down by the wharf next to a hand-written sign that sez "Beware the bushman". Beside the sign is a coffee can for 'donations' and a small 'bush', the latter looking very out of place in the built up part of the neighborhood. While people are trying to puzzle out the meaning of the sign, he leaps from behind the bush. "Boo!" The 'bush' is portable, a bunch of branches liberated from one of the local parks. I first encountered him about three years ago and was surprised that he was still there (Though out to lunch, I guess, as the bush and coffee can were the only things to be found at his spot) this past summer. I was walking down the street when I overheard two young girls ahead of me: "Oh, gaw! This is where that guy is! Y'know, 'The Bushman'. He scared the piss outta me last time!". :lol:

It's hard to say that there's anything to avoid in SF, as all my visits have been great (The weather tends to cooperate rather well, though bring warm clothing if it gets windy. Definitely get the Muni Passport to get around the city You can get info about it from their online site). That way you can enjoy the sights instead of the traffic. The F-Line trolleys (Many late of Philadelphia and painted to represent other cities) run from the Castro down Market and along Embarcadero to all of the places along the Bay to Fisherman's Wharf and Pier 39. The latter is tourist central with tours, sights, and shopping all in an open walking atmosphere. Don't miss the sea lions at Pier 39. :) From the Wharf, you can catch one of the cable cars (At Bay and Taylor or down by the park near Ghiradelli) back over the hill to Powell and Market.

If you should rent a car, cruise over the Golden Gate and see the city from the ridge atop Golden Gate Park (Or just take a ride on the 1955 Mack fire truck that runs tours over the GGB from the Marriott). A similar view, over the city, can be had from the top of Twin Peaks just past the Castro. You're also less than an hour's drive in any direction of cool stuff to see/places to go in San Jose, Oakland, Half Moon Bay, etc.

As for LA, I haven't a clue. The closest I ever got to it was the front gate at Disneyland in Anaheim. This year, I'm goin' =in=! :D

I dunno, any country with the cajones to put a statue of a nude, pregnant, Thalidimade survivor on public display in a major city square is certainly as interesting, or morseo, as my little corner of the world.

The UK and environs have been on my to-go list for quite some time, but life interrupts. I was supposed to go to Brighton in '85 and Scotland last year, but time/funds/etc. didn't allow. :( So, until such time as I get across the pond, I satisfy myself with collecting the stamps. :)

Were it my choice, i think i would rather go to the bar that was open all week long if i was more interested in socializing with the ts clique. If your only looking to get laid then fuck it, either place would suit just about as well.

Sorry to bump this, but thought you folks may be interested to know how things turned out.

Well...I decided to go to San Francisco instead of L.A. - and just got back.

I arrived on a Friday, and went to Divas sort'a early - just to check it out. At first, I wasn't feeling all that comfy 'cause I was immediately approached and asked if I wanted to do the nasty. Good lawd - I hadn't even had a chance to have a drink yet.

Anyway - I politely declined (many times), so that I could get some refreshments. The dance floor opened at 9:30 p.m., so I went up. There was a beautiful bartendress - I mean, knock-dead gorgeous. I found out she was married to the owner - but mann - she was beautiful, and had a great attitude.

I think the ratio of drag queens to t-ladies was about 50/50, and the guysguys out numbered the ladies.

By around 1:00 a.m. I was a bit drunk and went back down to the first floor. I met a real cool tai chick who took me home with her. She even cooked me some asian noodle soup afterwards - that's how cool she was.
=============
Saturday...

Much more crowded than Friday. I thought I recognized a few Eros-ladies. I remember buying a lot of drinks that night...for me, and the gals. But for some reason, I just didn't hook up with the 'right' gal. The $$$ was there, but the vibe or chemistry wasn't.
==============
Sunday...

Stopped by in the afternoon - since they open at 6:00 a.m. (no typo - that's A.M.) So, I see the latina chick who wants to fuck me from Friday night. I says - "I haven't even showered yet, and it's too early"...it was like 1:00 p.m.

She lifts up her skirt, and she has no panties and a healthy hard-on. Apparently, she rooms at the hotel next door (American Hotel?). Anyhow...she wants to fuck me for free (obviously she horny - maybe I'm a cute too).

But - I decline - something just didn't feel right.

...I go home, take a cold shower and a nap, and arrive later in the evening, where I find a beautiful Lebannes (chk spelling) babe...dressed in latex - beautiful fair skin, blond hair, and dark middle-eastern eyes. Yikes - we slam down some Long Island Ice Teas - she gives me kiss and we catch a cab back to my place.

...now - I think she was a bit put off by that, 'cause I was staying at a 5-star hotel in Union Square. I was a bit tipsy, and hoping the doorman wasn't there 'cause although this gal was hot, she was dressed "loud".

Anywho - when the cab pulled up to my place, she simply declined to get out...so - she then dissappeared into the night and into my dreams forever.
================
Monday...

...started out slow - but surprisingly picked up close to midnight.

I met (again) Carla (the bartendress at Divas) and found out that she is Carla-Lara from Eros. Wow - what a nice lady...I bought her drinks and chatted with her nearly every night I was at Divas. Word is that she is hung - but I've never had the pleasure.

Then things got a bit wild.

There was a tall (I mean 6-foot) latina babe, who I had seen nearly every night I was at Divas. She's got a gorgeous face. Anywho - she comes in and runs her hands through my hair at the bar while she picking up some protection (yes - condoms are free at the bar). Naturally, she remembers me from at the bar from previous nights.

So, after buying Carla (and her many friends) many drinks, I stroll outside the bar for a smoke. And - the hot latina is there.

So - I ask her if she will have a drink with me. Naturally, I know she's a working gal, so I give her a donation - just to come in and chat with me. So - she does - in fact we have 3-drinks together.

To make a long story short, we did go home together. However, I really got screwed up that night because I asked for something - and was given something which I quite wasn't prepared for. I feel horrible about it - and I think that she did too. I sent her a text message apology about that, but she never sent one back. I am so glad that she took care of me, and made sure that I got back to the hotel safely, because it could have turned out a lot worse with a different provider.

All-in-all, I did have a great time with her - and from her reaction she seemed to be extreamly satisfied. I'm glad that I was able to do that for her.
================
Tuesday...

...spent all day recovering from Monday night. I was thinking about re-visiting the hot latina chick, but thought I had embarassed myself enough, so I stayed close to the hotel.
================
Summary -

SF is a great town. The new Divas is quite a bit different than the former Motherlode - the vibe is a tad darker and serious. However, I would go again - and even date the latina chick (6-foot tall - dark hair - pretty face) again if she would have me.

Sleepless,

You gotta tell us what happened with the tall chick. Did she stick something in some place that you weren't expecting?

SleeplessInSeattle

shemalejunky - I would also suggest visiting on Wednesday & Thursday (the nights I missed). As I understand it, they have dancers on those nights. Make sure you buy Carla and Suzie (bartendresses) a few drinks.

Perverted Monk - the reason for my screw-up with the tall Latina chick didn't have to do with a sexual nature. I'm really too embarrased to explain further. But, aside from that, the sex was very very good and dark. I'm not nearly as tall as she, so it was all too exciting for me to have this hot chick on top of me, and seducing me the way she did. I think I will always have that vision of her pretty face and passion etched in my brain. In a way, I felt utterly helpless and exposed - but she really watched out after me.

Let's do an inventory!

San Francisco gave us The Beat Generation, The Grateful Dead, the counter culture revolution and plus, Berkley is right there.

LA gave us.....well, smog!

I've never understood the world's fascination with LA. It's so plastic and soft. True, there are beautiful women in LA, but don't pass up a trip to San Francisco just for looks.
