p.s.: If you have cable, then you are unknowingly giving them money, as "E" network gets at least 1$ a month off your cable bill, then program 20 hours a day on these upscale hos (no offense to the people hos)

Thank u and have a great turkey day.

Just don't watch it. I don't think it should be banned.
I mean, should porn be banned? Absolutely not. I mean, there is a wide ranging debate about porn. Some people think it exploits people. Does it? Maybe it does. But we shouldn't ban it. Plus porn would simply go underground... which would be truly frightening.
Anyway, people have to make up their own minds. I mean, I wouldn't want people trying to, say, ban Family Guy or American Dad or the Cleveland Show. If people don't like it, well, simply don't watch it.

I agree, just dont watch it. If nobody watches it then they go away. Petitions just get them more publicity, then more airtime and them more money.
Have to admit I dont get the whole reality thing and how they became so rich of the back of offering nothing...but Kim would be worth a night in the sack with!

My friend, you missed the point. People who dislike porn have the choice of not spending money on it.

Nothing personal against the Kardashians. As a matter of fact, I did enjoy her :fuckin: sex movie a lot.

It is just I don't want to spend my hard earned money on them.
If you have cable, then you are indirectly paying the Kardashians for their shenanigans and lifestyles.

I wish there is a way to opt out of the 'E' network. Until then, I have the right to call for their cancelling.

On the other hand, Family Guy / American Dad are shown on TV for free. So, they don't bother me (I used to watch them both, but they ran their course- just like the Simpsons- and stopped being funny).

I understand what you're tryin' to say dude, and I'm with ya...but it's a chicken and the egg scenario. Which came first ....the simple minded morons who live vicariously through Snookie, Paris , The Kardashians, and other no talents....or Snookie, Paris, and The Kardashians? One couldn't exist without the other, so until folks decide to spend thier leisure time on National Geographic, and actually learn something....we're stuck with all these idiots.

All cable and satellite customers are getting screwed, stuck paying for channels we don't want. Until hell freezes over and we are offered a la carte programming, the raping will continue.

The corporations that own E and other networks bundle the crap with the few channels worth watching, the cable & sat providers have to pay for all the channels and the cost is passed on to the consumer. It would be interesting if congress tried to get involved, don't know if bundling could be determined to be illegal. However, congress is already bought off, so they will never rock the corporate boat.

Doesnt matter how many people sign that petition, they still have the market cornered with clothes, perfume, diet pills, etc. As much as you want them to go away they make money for E and and other companies. So, theres nothing a petition is going to do!

PS I like the a la carte programing idea! Cuz I sure the hell dont like ESPN but I have it on my cable line up! LOL

And I'm willing to pay for ESPN, but I think it's wrong you have to subsidize those that watch. Let the market dictate what suvives.

I mentioned this on the other Kard-thread, but I'll repeat.

I don't think any petition directly to E! will be effective. The only times in my memory I've seen petitioning to be effective against a show is by targeting advertisers instead of the network.

TV makes money by selling ad space on their shows, the higher the ratings, the more they charge. But, if advertisers percieve their link to any said show to be negative, they will drop the show whatever the numbers.

Excellent point. And consumers should have the choice on what channels we want and don't want. But companies are out to, well, make as much money as they can and as fast as they can.
Simply give consumers the choice. Whether they want 10 channels or 15 or 30 or whatever. And pay per channel. Simple. Consumers gain. But companies lose. So we get screwed -- ha ha! :)
