People argue that it's a good business model, and it is. But it still sucks major ass.

They're a bunch of pathetic con-artists.

That's why I'm done with Call of Duty/Medal Of Honor/Battlefield/Activsion/EA.

To pay $60 for the game, then another $60 for the expansion packs, only to get the same recycled game the next year anyway.

NO DLC (for call of duty anyway, the dlc for Fallout 3 was pretty awesome and alot more bang for the buck) for me.

Go figure this would turn into a Battlefield Vs. Call of Duty. The CoD franchise is a huge success. I personally enjoy playing it. I've tried the beta of BF3 and all I it was is a lot of running and being shot by campers laying in the grass. To me that wasn't fun, but if people like it more power to them. It doesn't make it worse or better than CoD. CoD has it's problems as well. Hell, all games have their bugs, glitches and hiccups.
It's just amazing that a game has made $775,000,000 in 5 days.
I'm surprised Hollywood isn't gunning to do the Modern Warfare movie.

Video game movies never work lol.....I had the first 2 mw games and really enjoyed them but they are getting too much like madden (same game over and over)....I passed on this one and opted for skyrim...

I am fucking up big time. Trying to get the urge to play video games. I bought PS3 and XBOX 360 with some of the better titles and don't play. I get myself excited enough to buy another game later only to have it remain in the plastic for months. I think I just like buying stuff just to own it.

I believe the budget is around $70 Million probably. Activision stated with the release of MW2 the budget was $50 Million. Seeing as how they did the live action trailer, Call of Duty XP, I would guess around $70 Million. That does not mean they used the whole amount, The budget also goes to Salaries as well, and seeing as how both Sledgehammer and Infinity Ward both worked on the game, it had to be a big budget.
