Second I think its crap like this that awards loose credibility.

There is NOTHING wrong with nominating yourself if you have a legit reason to do so. I have in the past (not for xbiz, but for AVN in 2006/2007). But doing it just to be doing it because you can doesnt help people to take the award serious.

God knows I took crap for my award but I was in DVD's and current in the Industry at the time.

FYI I dont belong in the Director category and can admit that but I didnt nominate myself for anything except for my DVD which didnt get a nom. I did however nominated all my PR clients and a couple Parodys that were awesome that I saw.

Good Luck to all involved and I hope to see Jesse win Performer of the Year! SMC or Grooby for Studio, Joey for Director and the Le Femme Nikitta Parody rocked my ass off.

I was snubbed by XBiz for the 2nd year in a row. A Performer who has been out of the business for 2 years and a performer who has really isn't anywhere near the top of the game was nominated over me. The amount of work I have put in in front of the camera, in appearances, and behind the camera for devils and my website has been more than most of the nominated performers combined. My DVD was in the top 20 on AdultDVDEmpire for 10 months and one of groobys best selling dvds ever. My TS Babysitters feature DVD was a top seller until it kept selling out. They nominated directors who nobody has ever heard of and companies that haven't done a single thing this year but put out a tiny bit of web content. They nominated sites that have been out less than a year and aren't even doing well.

I pointed out last year how I was in more nominated titles than any other performer in xbiz and avn combined, but some of the voters didn't even know my name or recognized me even after I was nominated even though they had to of watched at least 4 or 5 of the titles I was in and the title that won, I was on the cover of. Just more evidence of how they don't even watch the titles or know who they are nominating and voting for.

Its not meaningless. Its recognition of the work that you have accomplished for that year to be nominated. When girls are getting recognized for the work they have done that year and they either haven't worked at all or released a couple scenes that weren't all that popular, its a slap in the face to those of us who have worked hard all year.

Awards do get you money. People see those lists and go and check out who they are and generate you more traffic and sales. Its not your fault they made bad decisions, but you really shouldn't be talking shit to wendy because she is calling them out on their bullshit.

He specifically told me he got my name off the AVN nominations list. My first audition, I got a call back, and have been taking acting classes since then as we are still in contact so that I can venture into acting. Had I of not been nominated, that opportunity would not be here for me. Don't believe me, look it up. Innovative artists is not just some small time talent agency.

Sorry but you are wrong. There are plenty of girls who are bad performers in straight porn who get work. A great example is recent star Jazy Berlin. She doesn't try to make a good porn movie but has a large following. Jodi Bean is considered the worst porn star in recent years but when she was active she got a lot of work because of her hot body.

Bailey Jay doesn't do anything. Yet, she has a large following based on looks alone.

They tweeted me telling me they nominated me - I told them they shouldn't have

And when I found out I wrote in

I met a lot of people this year at the Xbiz Summit, testing advocacy, and talking on Xbiz so people probably voted for me cause my name stood out to them

Just like Bailey Jay is seen in Xbiz/AVN and so mainstream industry people usually vote for TS names they know

It's obviously not based off your work

I still think they should have 20 - 50 people who will watch each DVD/scene nominated

And then a few performances from each nominee to come up with who the winner is

Rather than who has the most headlines or who paid the most for PR or who is more recognizable etc

It's just not a fair competition

FACTS:
I'm pretty much willing to bet that every performer on that list nominated themselves or had their PR do it for them. There is nothing wrong with that, it's part of the PR process. I've watched the travesty that is the TS Performer Award for AVN and Xbiz for years and very few of the actual winners deserved the award for that year (Wendy's for AVN was one of the few I agreed for a few reasons).

What this does show again, is how out of touch these people are with what is going on in our part of the industry. Sincerely, if you think industry people other than those that you ask, or the few that come over from a board like this, know who Jesse, Foxxy, Juliette Stray etc even are, then you have no idea how insignificant we are in the industry. There are clearly people on this list who either haven't performed in the past 12 months and still feature or have done significant work yet don't feature. I was told last year by AVN and Xbiz that it's not about the work but by their presence (ahem - PR) in the industry which explains why a lot of previous winners choices.

I nominated obviously Grooby and our DVD titles myself - I doubt anyone else did and whether we win or not probably depends on whether I PR it properly and sponsor their awards.

Stop snapping at each other. Write a proper letter to Xbiz asking them to explain their nomination procedures and reasons.

I have not paid attentions to awards shows since Lou Rawls took an award over Marvin Gaye.

I don't know who should win awards, but I know who should not. And for sme of the more popular TG performers, their production is subpar, but for some reason folks love them. I will not call out anyone, but as a non-professional professional, most TG acts/scenes are weak, racist, fake looking, etc...
