Not sure if it's OK for a guy to poke into your 'gurl talk', but I can relate to your tale a bit, TX. A mutual 'friend' laid some erroneous info on my ex one time and even though it was quickly proven false she, and a handful of 'friends' chose to take enough stock in it to permanently damage our relationship (Hence 'ex'). Twenty years later and it still ain't fixed. :o That she continued to maintain a longterm friendship with the perpetrator just made things worse. :P

hey this is a forum and topic for EVERYONE .. i gladly welcome all ... that sux to hear about your past relationship, and yes things that others choose to beleive can sometimes just be rediculous... and i really hate the type of ppl who cant end a "friendship" when it so should be ... for instance ur situation or mine ... when a "friend" makes blatant lies up about you or someone youre close to ... learn to see thru to the alterior motive... THERES ALWAYS AT LEAST ONE... and once you see thru them use that knoweledge and move on .... i was talking to a guy friend today and he was saying he was dating this girl and she had this friend who would constantly say innappropriate things to him IN FRONT OF HER and then when the gf would be confused and not sure how to take it the "friend" would say "oh im j/k" like that made it ok she just offered to give her "friends" bf a bj since his current gf wasnt a fan.... he said that after futile attempts to get them to stop hanging out he said fuck it and got em both outta his life... she ended up going out w/ a friend in passing of his and the guy would say the same thing was happening to him .... - j

The most interesting part about my situation was that the individual trumped up the tale to soap opera shock levels and then chose to name names. Unfortunately for her, the other party that she chose to involve wasn't, as she had thought, completely out of the picture and eventually heard the story through the tangled grapevine a few months after the seeds were planted.

Interestingly enough, that woman was only mildly pissed off about it and much more amused/confused that she would be chosen as the subject of the falsehoods (Having had a histerectomy (Sp?) some years before, she was puzzled that she would now be chosen to carry the 'miracle child' in a seedy rumor of illicit pregnancy). She ultimately hunted the perpetrator down and quizzed her about the whole thing. Confronted with a puzzled Q & A, rather than a down-n-dirty catfight (Which she was used to and ready for), her replies basically amounted to "Gibble gibble gibble" and she eventually left the state to ply her wicked ways elsewhere. :lol:

The moral: If you're gonna talk shit, get your facts straight. :D

Yah, dat's the one. So much for my infalible memory. :lol: I haven't been in San Antonio, but I did spend one horrid week in Austin one night. That's where I learned that diet soda and lite beer float (No shit!). Each evening we'd gather in the hospitality suite at the Sheratoon and watch the bats. Impressive.
