Really? Are you sure? I remember when she "came out" on an old Rosie O'Donnel show. And she talks about it in her stand up routines. She jokes how her mother doesn't accept her because, "You can be Korean, or you can be a Lesbian. But there is no such thing as a Korean Lesbian.

I watched one of her specials. She was telling some decent jokes and built up some momentum then went on some boring, preachy monologue. The audience replaced laughs with applause. I hate it when comedians do that and I lunged for the clicker.

I was born in 1980, but I have seen most of her concerts and a few TV shows she was in on DVD's. I first saw her on an old rerun of SNL. She was the host and she was great. The audience loved her. People paid a lot of money to see her in concert, and she always packed the huge theaters she was in. I can't believe there is anyone who doesn't like her. Maybe that stuff you be a tokin' has clouded your laugh center. LOL

We don't see her that much in the UK, but every time I have seen her, she makes me laugh and she also makes some very good political points. Talked to her after a show in Edinburgh at the fringe some years ago, and let's just say that she puts the "f" in feisty.

I wonder what the gender split is on the voting? Suspect the guys are mostly voting no....

And I thought she was bi, although from what she says she has more relationships with women.

Yeah Wanda Sykes is pretty darn bad.

Silverman is pretty good, clever at times. But, I find that she relies on being crass and using bad language as if a woman acting like that is supposed to be funny. Shock humour only really works when it's humourous and shocking, not just somebody with an overly developed potty mouth.

I hate Jo Brand but Gina Yashere made me chuckle a bit, they both have been around here that I know of. Porter and Osho are really fun to look at but they aren't funny to me, im just not that into female comedians I guess. My favourite Brit female stand-up was Linda Smith, who was killed by cancer a few years back. She was wonderful. I once shared some iffy British Rail sandwiches with her on a much delayed train from Bristol to London after we'd both done our respective gigs down there and choked with laughter - she was just as funny irl.

And I haven't mentioned Victoria Wood, the queen, definitely a national treasure.
