View Full Version : Not a porn thread - My dog has a blockage in her bladder and we need your help

When I left the east coast to kick start my career in porn I had to leave my two dogs behind. The female, Bella, has come down with a bladder stone that is preventing her from being able to pee. The vet gave a estimate of $1,127.17 - $1,360.67 and I am told that without surgery the stone will not pass. Right now she is back in VA either trying to pee and straining to the point she is making herself bleed from the blockage.

Nobody that I know has $1,400 just laying around that they can spend on vet expenses. My ex and I have exhausted all personal options and have come up empty handed with each of them. So now I am reaching out to the folks of the internet to simply donate as little or as much as you can. Whether it is $1, $100 or anything in between it will be greatly appreciated and Bella will love you for it as well. I know that no one person can help us out but I am really hoping that the collective whole of the people we all know online can give some support. If you know anyone who is a dog lover and would be willing support the cause please share this story with them.

Send all donations via Paypal to britstjordan@gmail.com. If by some miracle of all miracles we raise more than the estimated cost of Bella's surgery any funds left over will be set aside to use for any follow up care she may need.

The vet didn't give the dog a catheter? I'd donate but I just spent $300 on a cats minor infection. If you luv the animal, you spend the money. Use a credit card.

The cause is worthy, my donation has been made.

Dont be a bunch of cheap bastards she said even a dollar would do so skip the coffee or cigarettes for today and help someone out.

Think of it as putting a little Karma in the bank for the day you might need a helping hand.

I've sent $5 to Paypal, which will then be sent to the "Save The Dog" fund.

I'm just concerned that this vet might be Clive Barker.

Who doesn't give a sick dog a catheter and bill the owner later? That's just weird.

I had a kitten get sick one time. He was like 4 months old. I took him to the vet and they said it would be $1,000 to fix him. I didn't have the money, but told them sure yea go ahead and take care of my baby lol. When I showed up to pick him up, I told them I didn't have the money and they just took my info down and sent me a bill.

I think thats why Vets want paid in advance.

I used to have a professional practice, and out of hundreds of clients, I had only one young lady who paid me a certain amount every week. It got to the point everyone had to pay in advance. Otherwise too much work to get paid.

I'll chip in $5. I hope there are other animal lovers out here who will help.

Most likely. I paid my bill in installments though and I am willing to bet that there are a lot of vets willing to do this as well.

A huge fucking thank you to everyone who donated towards Bella!! A private donor in VA has put up of the majority of the funds. She goes in for surgery tomorrow and should be home by the weekend. Bella thanks you all!!!

Damn Britt....Hate to hear that shit. I had to put a Shepard down because of a broken spine, and the fuckin' vet asked me...."would you like a private burial or a mass burial?" In front of a whole waiting room full of pet owners. I asked..."what the fuck is a mass burial ? But stopped him before he had the chance to answer.

I agree with Amy....see if you can work out a payment schedule with the Vet...and keep us posted .

Thank you for warm wishes and sorry about your loss. My dogs are the one thing I really miss out here in LA. I often talk of getting another one but I don't know if it would be the same.

You are obviously a dog person and I doubt you'll feel complete until you get another dog. I guess there is no way to get your dogs out to LA with you?:geek:

Good luck, Brittany. We just put one of our Akitas down a week ago. It was crushing. Both me and my ex stuck together through this and are helping each other heal. We had a family of animals at one time and now they are all gone. I told her if the two of us ever marry I promise her to always have 2 Akitas and a house full of cats.

I'm real sorry for you. At the same time, I'm trying to imagine 2 dogs and a houseful of cats, because for my wife and I one Jack Russell and one cat was a real circus.:yayo:

I kept it to myself but it hurt bad. My ex is a sweet girl but she was devastated. The dog was brave and never feared death which made it a little easier. Being in the room when a pet is put down is an experience you never want to repeat but you know you will over and over. It never gets easy.

We had 6 guinea pigs at some point(all girls) in one cage and we also had a paroquet and the funny thing was that he would slip into their cage and run into their house while they are inside and then run off with them chasing him and rinse and repeat. :p At first its like wtf! but then its funny because you realize the guinea pigs are scared of him when he flaps his wings.

It is a hard thing to do but I have also seen what happens when people can't bare to put their pet down. I won't share horrific details but if any of my pets ever got to the point that living was more suffering than joy I would definitely let them go peacefully.

I don't advocate animal abuse of any kind and making the adult decision to put an animal down rather than let them suffer is a humane thing to do. Letting them live out their last days in utter misery and letting nature run its course is by far a way worse fate than being put down by a vet.

Are you fucking serious? You leave your dogs behind and then some morons actually donate so that you can just neglect the dog some more? Seriously, turn the dog over to someone else or just give it up for adoption or whatever. You obviously don't have what it takes to care for the dog, or any living animal. I hope you take care of yourself at least.

Pretty pathetic that people donated that much money for that. smdh

The dogs are with my ex, who I bought and raised them with. I didn't just leave them with some random person. They are in their environment they grew up in and on of them just happened to get sick.

And before you go running around like it's the inquisition and passing judgement you might want to get a few facts before assuming anything. My dogs were not and are not neglected. I they were I wouldn't have ever tried to raise money to have her operated on.

We were always commended on how well behaved and obedient our dos are. I spent a lot of time that I could have been a whole lot of other things but instead trained our dogs to be good dogs and not just mutts laying in a corner chewing on a shoe.

And lastly I fucking hate asking anyone for help. This is the one time I break that rule and I get to deal with asshats like you putting me down for wanting my dog to not be pissing blood? Really? Not sure if you were trying to win asshole of the day or not but you definitely have.

How the fuck would she have known the dog was sick if she had abandoned it? Obviously she left it with someone who is caring for it and contacted her. You're one to talk about not having what it takes to care for a living being, since you have so little empathy for someone who had to make a difficult decision.:thumbsdown:pissed:

It reminds me of a friend who had a pet rabbit and a cat. He'd let the rabbit out of its cage when he was home and soon there would be a game of chase going on throughout the house. The cat would chase the rabbit past him and after a quick circuit around the house the pair would go past again, this time with the rabbit hot on the heels of the cat.:dancing:

Yeah some friends of mine did that with their cat. Most vets love animals, that's why they're veterinarians. I think most vets would never let someone's beloved pet die just because you have to pay on installments.

A lot of vets will also allow to sign over ownership of the pet if you can't afford the procedure to heal them. So when they are healed they get adopted out to a new family. This is something that I just found out with this whole ordeal.

Giving up Bella wasn't an option either. Our other dog Bumper would go crazy without her. I was told that he was sitting near her crate while she was at the vet. If she didn't make it back his whole world would have been flipped.
