I grew up in a black neighborhood that had black, italian and jewish business owners,the Korans and Vietnamese were still coming off the boats at the time. People went about their business and it was fine. I was there when all of those nail salons and weave parlors and empty storefronts were cleaners, restaurants, shops and stores.

I was there when the young boys decided to get all hard, become street corner Tony Montanas with dreams of crack kingdoms and scared all the business out of the neighborhood and the good people into their houses. The Koreans were the only ones disparate enough or stupid enough to buy those shops. The business minded blacks and white ethnics had better things to do with their money by then.

You walk in pay your money and you leave. That's how a store f.ing works. They don't need to do shit for me but take my money and give me my purchase. Thats my point. Its a two way street and neither side wanted to make peace with the other. The way I see it, you want to do business in MY neighborhood, then there is a certain amount of respect you need to treat me with. Because if you're business is my only option, then I am part of a means of you're survival. Treat me and talk to me with some respect. Koreans have a hard time understanding this and how it works on a businnes level. And I havent even mentioned the ones that over price everything in their damm store. I aint talking about black neighborhoods that have Italian, Jewish, and other types of businesses. I'm talking about a black neighborhood with only korean businesses. Big difference. Blacks in this situation got tired of koreans disrespectful attitude towards them, and in the past, some fucked up shit happened to koreans as a result. Anytime I heard about it in the news, I could just imagine how it got to that point. I grew up in that situtation, so I know. And I never once felt bad for any korean that got their ass beat down as a result.

Something about an asian dude coming up to me and saying 'yo my nigga' dont set right with me. I think its because I know a large percentage of asians have a very low opinion of blacks. For that reason, I cant say that I have any asian friends. I know how the majority of them feel about blacks and I dont appreciate it. So I dont socialize with them. I walk around with a masters degree, but I have asians talking to me like I'm some bum in the street. I always put them in their place. And if I gotta bust them in the mouth, I'll do that too. A lot of this shit goes back to childhood days growing up in the hood. Watching asian people come into the hood and run a business, but NEVER give back to that same neighborhood, and wanna talk to me and my people like we're trash. FUCK THAT! In a way, you're kinda right about the Korean stores, they should give back to the community. That is a very similar feeling that some people on this forum have with the wall street protesters. The wall street protesters want corporations that they do business with like banks to give back some to the community,, not much of a different position from what you say about Korean grocers.
