Avatar Identities

Everyone has thier favorite avatar. Rather it be thier own image, an image of thier favorite girl/guy, or thier favorite celebrity, it is something that defines thier character.
So my question is, what does an avatar tell us about the poster? I mean we can't see the real person, only thier words and thier avatar. But by looking at the post, and not knowing anything about the person behind the screen, can we determine anything about who is posting. What does your avatar say about you?

Mine is currently of a 'Bearded One' that I found to be unique and inspirational: Norton I, Emperor of the United States and Protector of Mexico.

We also share a lot of character traits: Excentric, romantic, and slightly off-the-wall (And I don't look half bad when you dress me up). It has been said that "Everyone understands Mickey Mouse, some understand Einstein, but no one understood Emperor Norton".

That pretty much describes me as well. :D

Though I doubt that anyone will ever try to name a famous bridge after me. :(

I don't have an avatar. So my lack of an avatar says that i am a coward, afraid to post my picture because some other pervert that I know may be on this board, and would know my secret while I would stillnot know who they are. It also shows that I am so paranoid about this that I will not even post any other pic for fear the hyperlink or photo may carry some information that allows my secret to get out.

But while we are talking about avatars can someone please post guidelines for reasonable avatar sizes. There are few things more frustrating than trying to read a topic that is horrificly misaligned because someone posted a big ass avatar.

On another note. Bigguy, thanks for all the good avatars you use, and even more thanks for posting all the clips you have. I feel like I owe you a fee for all the stuff of yours i have downloaded.

You people are missing my point, well most of you anyway. Prentend like your in college and really read into my question. Think people. Most of you said " my avatar is me" or" my avatar is this or that". I can see what the avatar is but my questions stems beyond that. Like why would a person have an avatar of a star wars character, or of a big azz, or of themselves looking zooted or looking sexy. What does this say about that person. Thats what I am wondering. re first sentence. Really??? like some of us have said "that is the REAL me" not just our/my words.
My avatar says this me, yes me when I am my fem self. I think its a nice pic and it IMO shows something of my character (fun loving and not taking myself top seriously) as well as showing off my best assets, you guess lol.

My avatar is me of course. I think it tells a person how confident and reassured I am. It is also been rumored that I am a big tease ( i beg to differ) thus me showing just enuff skin and saving the rest for the imagination.
I love to take pictures so I change my avatar alot too, but always pics of me. So i guess overall my avatar says " i love myself"
