Tom Dempsey had an advantage. His foot was like a golf club. I spent years watching that freak of nature kick a ball.

That record has stood for a long assed time and I don't know why. You would think every team would go for it at the half. And guys have gotten bigger and stronger.

Janikowski is the only Raider on the team now that would have fit in with 1970s Raider Teams as far as personality and criminal record. A True Raider indeed.

in that case he would fit on any of the 90's Cowboys teams too

Seriously guys?! No Pats fans here? How about that 99.5 yard touchdown reception and run by Wes Welker in the Pats game last nite? Or Tom Brady taking the #5 spot for most yards in a game (517)? Or that the game broke the all-time NFL record for yardage by both teams? Or that Jaworski said 'shit' on the air? You guys would rather talk about a KICK, and from the RAIDERS no less (jokes about Janikowski not withstanding)?!

Maybe I'm spoiled because we had Vinatieri for so long, but a good kicker is a must in today's game. I mean I don't expect a guy to always nail a 63-yarder, but they should be able to get lucky sometimes. ;)

Me and my family have been Raider fans since Lamonica. The Raiders are terrible these days so all we have to brag about is Janikowski(Kicker) and Lechler(Punter). Feel sorry for us please, nice lady. At least you have a good team to follow.

Hey, I suffered through a bunch of misery with the Pats too, remember. I watched them lose the Super Bowl twice, the first time when I was so young it swore me off of football until they got in again, which ended equally fruitless.

And I don't just like the Pats because I'm from Boston or even because they win, but it's how they win that interests me. Belichick single-handedly returned the psychological element and heightened strategic considerations to the game of football. The man's an absolute genius, and as good as Tom Brady is, I don't think he has half the talent he's shown without Belichick's system. Belichick is the Hannibal of our day.

Like I said, I wish I had a good team to follow. Bob Kraft is certainly a better guy than Al Davis too. Most Raider fans like me want Al Davis to die so The Raiders can live.

Oh yeah, I forgot about that. Everyone's heralding Kraft as the messiah after he helped to end the lockout. Thanks. That part's wonderful too. I love my team. :)

I took that fucker in my fantasy league a few years back and that rat bastard faked a knee injury in the first game just to piss me off.
