View Full Version : How do Guys Working in Porn Deal With It?

Not the on-camera talent, but specifically the men who do post-production work -- If you're a guy and you're editing porn video, or scanning photos to pull selections for a gallery, I would think you'd have wood and need to jerk off, like, all day long.

Do you need to take regular jerk-off breaks? Or does it all become a desexualized business to you? (The latter seems unlikely, since the whole point is you're trying to identify the sexiest parts, I would think -- not like a doctor who's in the region for other business.) Or something else?

they probably get desensitized to it pretty fast and begin to see it more as a job than pleasure.

You get somewhat densitized to it but when you see something or someone special, it's even more special but sometimes, you do need to erm, take care of business before you can take care of business.

All our video and photos editors, aren't into the tgirl scene so it's easy for them.

Things do change though, I got into this business because it turned me on, 15 yrs later I get turned on by doing business.

I always wondered about that. Thanks for the insight, appreciate it.

I worked in a bagel factory during my college years. I must have baked tens of thousands of the things
I got sick of looking at them. Everyone in New York loves bagels except me.

1. It stops looking like sex and starts looking like what it actually is: Money.
2. Most of it's not all that great, there's a lot of filler - so no boners are to be had anyhow.
3. If you're more worried about whether or not you'd be jerking off to a box full of porn rather than doing your job correctly, you're probably not the type that would/could land such a gig in the first place.

Editing is work. You are watching and listening for mistakes, goofs, and cutting out anything that kills the momentum. It is not at all erotic. It is a problem spotting/solving mindset, and not at all erotic. You could be editing just about anything, and the mindset would be the same.

I was on the set a couple of times, and not once did Little Ben get hard. Why? Because I realized it was just work. Afterwards, however...let's just say things were different.
