I have been wanting to ask this question? Whats your HRT poison? The needle, the pill, or the pellet implant?
I myself am a combnation of HRT meds (Needle & Pills)
I take 1 depot (10mg) of estradiol valerate by injection (every 10 days)
The thing is if you have a fear of needles it is hard to pull off the injections, I have not had any issues with injections yet.
I also take two sets of pills daily.....
200mg of spirnolactone (100mg twice daily)
100mg of Microgest Progesterone (once daily)...

Are you a doing this on your own or under a Doctors care?

are you getting blood work done?

do you know all of the side effects of HRT?

once the boobs grow you can't get rid of them

I done that been there...it's not fun..

That's funny.. my endocrinologist advised against injections because of the ups and downs in hormone levels that come with injections, and the fact theyre given once a week or two weeks.. Do you have a doctor prescribing this to you?

I self-medicate, but my Current Dr treats my stage 2 hypertension, and advises me on how I should use the HRT meds.My therapist supports my transition with HRT my DR not so much, because of ten years of hypertension.
I order my HRT meds from Hong Kong and have only had blood work done once in 9 months. I understand the effects and hope they are permanent!!

For the last 5 years or so I've been on 12mg estradiol pills per day here. My doctor prescribed spiro but I'm reluctant to take it while I'm still working in the industry. That said, estrogen isn't poison, testosterone is!

And I'm with TSNajwa on this one. Injections are the devil!

Sprio made me sick as a dog for the first month then my body got used to it.
I have never taken any other estrogen except by the needle....Sprino and Microgest progestorone have helped greatly smooth out the roller coaster ride of estrogen. I have to admit the first three months of HRT are Pure hell though :(

I'm sorry to hear that. Transitioning my body has been smooth sailing. Transitioning my life on the other hand was infinitely more difficult.

Yeah my transition has been as smooth a as a train comining off the tracks, but it has been getting better lately. I am glad to hear yours went better. Did you have a high T level to start with? Mine was pretty high and I think that if you start out with high T and move to E it is a bit of a train wreck. I should have taken Sprino two months before starting E maybe the frist three months of E would have went smoother.

I think I may have actually started with a deficiency of T. I have a theory about that though. I surmise that if we really are born with female brain structures (and I'm fairly certain that some of us are), testosterone is literally poison and the use of estrogen should correct imbalances, not exacerbate them.

I have never thought about that way, cool theory though:) I think in general E has a caliming effect on those with a low T. Sadly those that started with high T to begin with (like me) it, becomes nicarguan death squad fighting over turf inside your skull. I would advise anyone starting MTF HRT to get your T down first and foremost. That was a big mistake on my part :(

Agreed. 'Calming' is definitely the word I'd use. For as much of a rabble-rouser as I am (RABBLE, RABBLE!), I was a truly angry mess before transition, not the ironic 'angry' I am now.

4mg of estrogen daily, definitely had a calming effect on me pretty quickly, spntaneous erections stopped within a couple of weeks and after a couple of months stopped altogether and things down below are certainly smaller. Skin is softer and now I have about an a cup.

Premarin. 0.625mg daily. Pills. Sublingually. Too early to tell if the (minimal) effects I observe so far are due to medication or just my head playing tricks on me due to the anticipation. (month and a half as of this post.)

I have been on HRT for almost 10 /12 months without issue. I take a blood panel thats shows an slightly elevated Estrogen reading imo it was not high enough to garner taking me of my normal HRT regimen.
That is the problem with following WAPTH SOC, too much over regulation and not enough drs to understand what is needed. I have already changed my primary care physician twice in the last year :/

It helps to go outside the system at first. When I started hormones, I paid cash out of pocket to see a doctor of my choosing who prescribed me the same 12mg/estradiol that I use today (since 2006). When I got medical insurance, I was already on hormones so they couldn't really take me off of them. I have been educating my doctors ever since and they give me whatever I feel comfortable taking as long as my blood tests normal.

I went with the Blue pill

Although I secretly wonder if the Matrix had something to do with my decision...

I just realized the connection between the Lana Wachowski being trans and the "red / blue pill" thing.

I love my little blue pills :)

4 mg/day estradiol, 200 mg/day spironolactone. Been on them almost six months as of yet. Works wonders; really soft and clear skin, 36B breasts, body hair is lessening, body odor has changed. And I feel a lot happier, calmer, and more affectionate (I love cuddling and my stuffed animals!)
