Griffith Park Observatory cool place to visit?

I shot Vo D'Balm up there years and years ago.
I go up there regularly just for a walk, love it.

No idea of a remodel, live far away... raised in So. Calif. I have great memories of being at the observatory... love that pendulum in the entry.... knocking down the little pins, illustrating the earths movement and time... heady stuff in my childhood lexicon.
With all the L.A. influence on space.. J.P.L. and Mt. Wilson Observatory you can only imagine any updating is spectacular.... besides the Marilyn shots... remember the scenes, from 'Rebel Without a Cause' ... James Dean getting into it with the other 'bad' kids... Get on up there and have a great time.. if I were passing through town it would be on my list regardless.

Totally re-done and as said prior, great views. As a side note, as the temp nears 100 degrees today, the new air conditioning system is like a meat locker.
