China has a huge horny market is not allowed to view porn. China's government claims that porn is harmful, but studies show that porn is not harm. Sociological studies also show that governments' control certain sexual aspects to control the people to an extent.

However, China has a huge problem. The economy is increasing. However, they would have to turn to capitalism if they want this economic boom to continue. When capitalism is created people are given more rights thus porn may be legalized.

I know that I am leaving some details, but hey you can Google it.

China is already virtually capitalist. I don't think you know much about business there if you think they need the same capitalism that Europe, Japan and the USA has, to increase their growth.

They have adult stores in most cities but no porn.
It's foolish of them to not allow porn, with an increasing male population to a decreasing female one as well as the massive amount of potential revenue, even if they did not allow production, they should allow the sale of it.

There are many other countries that are so called "capitalist" in which porn isn't legal yet other countries don't complain about their so-called rights ... like many US states, S.Korea and the Embassy Suites, in Las Vegas!

China is not completely capitalist. Their government is still communist. The communist party is the only legal party in government. They don't have a Democracy like most capitalist states.

Porn should be legal in China for many reasons. China's inequality is very large. The more inequality a nation is then is an increase in rape and all forms of crimes.

Legal? Hmmmmmm well there are certainly lots of hookers there. When i was working there about a decade ago and in an hotel in Beijing with tight security i got a phonecall one evening - from somewhere inside the hotel - offering me a "lovely massage." Iwas also apprached on the streets once or twice by girls.

I've seen much more inequality in parts of the USA and Europe. Yes they only have one party ... yet the USA only has two (and the UK 2.5!) While I don't like the Communist Party system in China, I also don't like ones in other countries.

I think you are comparing apples and oranges and coming up with chicken feet. Plenty of other countries with more apparent "freedoms" have the same restrictions on porn.

Nevertheless, when it does open up - there is a massive market there.

The great firewall of china right now is keeping lots of stuff from outside in - but there may be indigenous stuff happening we know nothing about.

There have been a number of cases of people getting arrested for producing amateur porn in China even if it was non-commercial. The most extreme example was a women who was having cyber sex - or cam sex - with two men, none of them were in the same location. There was a public outcry on this and I believe is was quashed.
There is a fair bit of amateur girlfriend type stuff around and I've been contacted by a number of VERY attractive tgirls interested in shooting.

2 party system, or 1 party system... not that much of a difference...

and the party elects its officials, and they tend to be more competent than the big media appointed clown in the white house

Thanks Stavros, I was being facitious. I know who she is --- she's kinda ugly and hot, for me! (or maybe it was just her sex scene in Sideways!).

I saw that about the Hong Kong sex movie and of course, Hong Kong movies usually have a strong element of sex but Hong Kong, still can't produce real porn and Hong Kong is the most liberal of all Chinese territories.

Hmm ... I wonder what the Chinese government's rationale is for saying porn is harmful ? I guess I could research it (e.g. try to google it), but I can imagine some reasons. Personally, I think porn is harmless in moderation, but the key word here is "moderation" (lol). Well it's probably easier to ban porn than to ban alcohol.

Ok, well I found this from the Chinese Ministry of Public Security, which is intent on "purification of the Internet" :

"Lewd and pornographic content seriously pollutes the online environment, depraves social morals and poisons the physical and psychological health of the masses of young people. It must be firmly controlled."

Wow. But that's still not a reason.
