Myspace sold for 35 million - I personally think what happen to myspace is their new layout. Which they thought was cool and everyone else hated!

They should of stuck to the what was working.

Anyways Google Plus one will be like facebook, but options for more privacy.

And you will be able to webcam on there.

Do you think this will kill facebook?

I think it comes too late to threaten facebook. Even if its better.

Justin Timberlake just invested Millions into Myspace to try to revive it. I think what killed Myspace is that there was too much crap on there. I still to this day have a hard time loading the stupid site. Myspace would be a great outlet for artist. I dont think anything will kill Facebook!

Interesting..I just thought with the webcamming and less rules about provocative pictures - people would be more interested and ready to join.

Facebook has so many guidlines it's annoying - I've been deleted off there three times now for no reason. Besides being a porn performer.

That's why I like twitter - I can post whatever I god darn want..

And they aren't getting sick of facebook? I use fb only because my family is on there. But every second using it makes me feel dirty.

I've used gmail since it came out and haven't had a problem with it. I like google generally.

I agree.
I use gmail, i think it's the shit, but, see the earlier comment, they're the next evil empire, before long (if not already) they'll start suffering from Microsoft syndrome.
Everyone hates a success story.

I don't have MySpace, Facebook, or the Twitter so my life won't take any drastic turns. I don't even have voice mail on my cellphone.

Awesome concept. Stupid name. Too late to market. Personally, I love Facebook's interface and hate tweeting, but I hate Facebook's rules. If people get sick of FB's draconian policies, it may take some users away from both Facebook and Twitter, especially if they're any kind of controversial figure or rabble-rouser or porn-star. I think this is where MySpace should have gone, but didn't, so a lot of people on Twitter that aren't work-safe are only there because they have nowhere else to go.

But no, it won't kill Facebook. It might force it to improve though.

My Space died because of a lot of things. Viruses, and spamming cookies invading your PC is part of it. Privacy and security measures dropped. And changing your pages with no control of it hurt them too.

Facebook is starting to have the same problems with spam and security. They say they are working on it, but they can't. Social sites are way too big to control against security breaches, viruses, and spam tracking cookies you don't know about. I dumped my My Space page for these reasons, and I recently dumped my Facebook page for the same reasons again. I have had enough of these unsecured social networks. My computer cost too much to replace because of some bull shit childish network.

I doubt Google will have any better luck with a failed format. Google is the best search engine on the web, and their email service is not bad for a freebie. But they are one of those companies that should stick to what they do best, and stay out of the social network crap.

Myspace was great as an outlet for artists when it started. I was able to broaden my fanbase (hah!) and sell cd's all over the world. Then it fucked up its layout just as Facebook started to grow. Myspace is dead, but fb has never been able to replace its' usefulness to the music community.
