Ana Mancini is one, Sarina Valentina another.

Not quite sure why, if it's aesthetic, medical or what. Maybe someone will enlighten us.

Probably medical. The testes produce testosterone. So by removing them, you should no longer need to take testosterone blockers.

its done for health reasons .... sustained use of hormones damage your liver over time and you are chemically castrating yourself with hormoens anyway.. so sooner or later you will lose the ability to get hard and cum dependant on your dose levels ..

So by having an orchi (castration) you remove the core testerone factory thereby allowing you the TS to reduce your hormone intake massively thus saving damage to your liver ... ontop of this you will feminse alot better with no testicles ....

Some girls opt for this that have no real desire to have full srs ...but some girls do have this then later on have srs .... my surgeon in thailand told me if i want my removed that realistically i would want to have srs within 2years of the procedure as the skin atrophies and then there is less to playwith when making the neo vagina ...

Alot of castrated girls still get hard easy enough as its more mind of matter they just dry orgasm,, ask mandy mitchell or olivia love whom post on this board ..

Its the same for me...i use androcur, i can have erections and get a little wet but thats usually it...i can still have an orgasm but different, and not without stimulating my breasts simultaniously..Does long term use of androcur damage the liver ?
Im taking it very easy, still not convinced srs will be the solution or improvement i desire...
Castration doesnt even sound attractive to me, but i have fear of surgery etc lo so that might have something to do with it...

yes andrucur is quite antiquated blocker these days .. its the most potent of all of them but the side affects from androcur are the worst i am told ...mood swings, depression , liver damage ....but liver damage comes with all hormones taken orally ..but over time .

Myself this is my hormone regimene that i take each day .

8mg x Progynova
200mg x Spirotone (this is now the most common AA prescribed to TS)
100mg x Prometium (this is a 2ndary hormone that helps with breast/nipple development -- its still not decided if its actual of benefit

Genitalia dont define your gender sweetie :) its your innerworkings you want to work on first and foremost when you are happy and complete within your mind then you can make a definitive desciion on what truly would be benefical to you or not ... thats how i see it anyway ,..

You should really google stuff before you start putting it in your body. I hate to sound like a jerk, but simply googling androcur lets you know all of its side effects...liver damage can be one of them depending on your dosage.

dogsandcats androcur is a prescirbed hormone ...ts can either self med or get prescription... all hormones will affect your liver whether you like it or not its just part of life as a transsexual .... sooner or later you have to make a choice :)

I know the side effects of androcur and yes before i ever took them andmy health is monitored by doctors so there really was no use for you to sound like a yerk..

Liver damage with long term use i have not heard about that...so thats what i was asking

its the liver has to work really hard to break down the chemicals so it damages it over time ...but would take a long time ...but then alot cycle the usage of blockers .. you know maybe run blockers for 2years then come off them ..as the only real benefit from blockers is boosting the effects/speed of estrogen ..but then some use finrstride as a weak blocker as well intaed of spiro/andur ...also gets the benefits of the hair regrowth/stopping properties . x

but hormoens are very individual things as every person makeup is different some react amazing to just does of progynova, some require more ..

Im taking 50 mg of androcur now, i took 25mg for a while and that went well until i tried 15mg, hairloss, libido increase, so 25 is the minimum for me, but i need to use 50 for a while now, untill i can lower the dose again....

Besides this i use estrogen patches....6,4mg estradiol per patch...

Actualy i still hope i never will have to make a decision, but if castration was possible in my country, i would consider it, i will have to go to thailand for that and even though its an inexpensive surgery, i cant afford it

The estrogen alone does not seem enough for blocking enough testosterone in my body...
The times i tried without my body fights back hard almost inmediately !
And goes from undetectable to almost normal male levels in 2 weeks time.

100 mg seems to be the standard before surgery...so i take half the dose and hopefully less in a while
I cant drink alcohol or smoke pod or i get really sick...so i truely have become a saint lol

I ask because I have the reverse of your problem, my body doesn't manufacture enough testosterone to keep me healthy as a male (the main medical concern was that as I get older calcium will not adhere to my bones) so I take monthly injections to supplement my meager supply. You don't have to answer if you don't wish, but I'm getting the impression that you may be self-medicating and that can be quite dangerous to your long term health. :geek:

Hi !
No i am not self medicating...i visit a gender clinic.
I take enough estrogen to stimulate bone growth/regeneration,
I just try to take the lowest dose of testosterone blocker coz thats better for my health, and even when visiting a gender clinic, i am always the one that is more concerned then my docs

BirgittaHello again!
Well, I am certainly pleased to read that. Just one more question to satisfy my curiosity if you don't mind. What is your cycle(time period between doses) for hormones? I receive my testosterone injections once every four weeks and I can certainly tell when it's time for the next injection. Again, if this is too personal for you, don't feel obligated to answer me. :geek:

Hi !

I use patches so i do not really have a cycle, the patches should keep my hormone levels pretty constant...every 3 days i use a new patch...

The testosterone blocker (pills) i have to use daily...

The testosterone blocker (pills) i have to use daily...Thank you for answering my questions, Birgitta. I had to use patches for awhile, but I had problems with reactions to them and went over to a gel, mainly because some whiz kid decided to stop manufacturing the serum that could be injected. After a few years that mistake was corrected.

I am very sorry that you have use these things, especially with the nasty side effects. Hopefully things will improve for you soon.:)
