I'm not a huge hockey fan but I always have to give up the shout out to the home team! That's 7 titles overall in 10 years for my hometown. Lovez it! xoxo

It was cool to watch. I had the pleasure of being able to tell my son that I knew announcer and former Bruin/Coach Mike Millbury. :)

I normally despise Boston (..and I think Millbury's an asshole)..but I always root original six when the Rangers aren't in it.

Hockeky's the greatest sport in the world that requires the most athleticism, endurance and strength combined. Personally, I don't think any sport demands as much from the human body. Plus, it's the most excitng sport to watch. Those that don't think so, don't understand it and consider NASCAR drivers athletes. Make me laugh.

Congrats Boston Bruins! Well deserved and, quite honestly, no surprise after game 6. I hope the city of Boston is in better shape than the city of Vancouver this morning.

Congrats to Boston!:claps

As much as I was really looking forward to the cup coming back to a Canadian city, I can reconcile with the cup:

-going to an original six team
-going to the team that wanted, and deserved, it more
-NOT going to some hot, southern US city that only thinks snow is something that comes out of a Columbian cargo plane! :p

And, I gotta admit, Mark Recchi winning another cup ring 20 years after his last one brought a smile to my face.

Well played, guys!

Looks like a typical day in downtown Detroit for no reason whatsoever. At least Vancouver has only done this twice in the last seventeen years.

Damn Bella...and we were so close to having somethin' goin....LOL...then you had to bring up Millbury. I hope you didn't tell your son he jumped into the stands at MSG and beat a Ranger fan to a pulp with his shoe....I've had more than a few moments I'd like to forget in my own life, but thankfully Millbury's scene was caught on tape.

whats up with the Detroit bashing shit? 4 cups in 11 years 2 million at the Victory parades that followed and not an incident in that time.
Give it a rest dude.
A typical day downtown consists of bums beggin' for change, besides there's
nothing left to burn after '67 riots

Okay, downtown Camden. lol

Dude, you read too much into it. It's simply my response to, "Whats up with the Vancouver bashing shit?" And I wasn't thinking about the Wings when I said it. Four cups in eleven years is highly respectable. And you're comparing parades to after-game melee. Two different mindsets. When the BlueJays won the World Series in 1992, millions hit the streets of downtown Toronto and they only reported issue was a cracked store-front window. I may be biased but that is a classy city.

And, Canadian cities are more passionate about hockey than U.S. teams, no matter how hard a city tries to convince themselves they are 'hockeytown', saying it isn't the same as being it.

I don't condone the actions of the Vancouver opportunists. They took a page out of the Montreal Canadians handbook. If Montreal would have lost a game seven, the city would be a pile of dust right now. It's a sad state of mind.

Not sure the point of this. Yes, Horton got hit and got a concussion. We know this.

Aside from this, I can't believe that Chris Higgins didn't get five and a game for his blindsided hit on Zdeno Chara to the head - to the head of a guy 6'9".

Although the outcome would have been the same, I'm disgusted that the officials put away the whistles and let anything go. After a full season and playoffs less one game they decide to change the dynamics of refereeing. Wake up NHL!

Wake up NHL!the refs let them play until vancouver was 3 goals down then figured they better help them out,i hate the canucks there a pathetic team with a bunch of cocky motherfuckers.they got beat because the bruins are tougher and dont play dirty to win.its no secret the canucks are the most hated team in the league.

People tell me they hate the Leafs the most, right after telling me that Toronto is the center of the hockey universe. It's always opposing fans that say sillyass things like that. I think it's just envy. The other Canadian teams should be happy because the Leafs always fill your building when they come to town. Add Detroit to that group, too. I think Joe Louis was full capacity one time during the regular season - when the Leafs came to town.

Not sure where you heard the CanSucks are the most hated team. This is news to me. I'd hate the habs over them any day.

Fair enough bassman wasn't referring to the Wings per se just
the overall Detroit bashing comparison that always comes up after
one of these post championshit riots breaks out, they've done it up
in East Lansing whether or not MSU wins or loses Columbus Oh after
the Buckeyes and on and on,so had to step up.
Yeh Detroit is a shithole no argument there but the fans here have shown enough
class not to pull that after swinning the cup or celebrations afterward 2 mil and no incidents 4 times and one more when the Pistons won in 04 not too shabby.
As far as Joe Louis Arena goes the lower bowl is always empty cause lots of the
corporations bailed on their season tickets after the economic crash in 08
the real fans sit up top and pack the upper bowl much like they did at the old MLG in the grays.
