Honestly, I prefer waxing, it hurts a bit but it's so much easier.

get waxed once then buy an epilator and use it a couple times a week to maintain, there is a bit of a learning curve, but it by far the cheapest and best option in my opinion.

I use it probably every other day for about 5min in the shower, it also exfoliates so ingrowns are minimal.
