View Full Version : Tattoos - Attractive on girls or not?

Call me an old fart but I just don't like tattoos on girls.

They're clearly popular amongst a lot of the girls themselves as it's hard to find an unmarked girl in tranny porn these days.

What do all the admirers think?

I just don't think they're very feminine and you wonder if their wearers will love them as much 10 years from now when the wrinkles kick in ... ;)

(Apologies if this has been done to death before but I couldn't get search to find me any threads on the subject)

It all depends tats on some girls hot, on others not.

I'm no tattoo fan, will never have one done myself.
For some girls a small tattoo works, I'm not in favour of the 'fell asleep in the tattoo artist's chair' look though. However, to each his own. Nobody decorates her body for me, it's because they like it.

I think a few small tattoos can look really cute on a girl, and even some of the bigger ones if they are well done...

But I sort of agree. Most the time when a girl has loads of tattoos it does turn me off a bit!
(it wouldn't bother me if I really liked her though)

Depends on the girl and depends on the tattoo artist.
Depends on where on the body.
I get totally turned off by chest pieces, breasts are so beautiful there is nothing a tattoo artist can do that could be considered an improvement.

Neck tats -- no way.

There's that, too. A stroll on the beach in the summer tells you that a well-made tattoo on your shoulder at 20 looks like a two week old hickey hanging somewhere below the waist at 40.

It depends on the tattoo and if the girl can pull it off. Foxxy has some tattoos and I've always liked her. Morgan Bailey is hot too. My buddy Bella Bellucci has plenty of attitude and her tats definitely fit her personality.

Two or three smaller ones can be very attractive, but I'm not a fan of the "every square inch of my belly and arms covered" look, either.

Interesting that the poll is showing the yes camp with a lead whilst the comments above seem to echo my own sentiments.

I don't mind the odd discreet and tasteful tatt, but the tramp stamps and full chest or back pieces can really put me off.

I think before you get a tattoo you have to sign a contract with the artist, that you will stay in shape your entire life.

Red saggy blistery old worn out tatts look real bad.

Skully posted some nice pics to demonstrate his/her point. One or two of them I didn't really care for though.

I have several tattoos myself. For the matter of tats of girls is similar to guys. It depends on a number of variables if I find the tats aesthetically attractive on female or male. As some posters mentioned such things as placement and quality of work done by the artist can really have an aesthetic impact.

Of course, much of this comes down to individual subjective tastes.

Done to death everywhere on every sex (TS or otherwise) forum in the world, with the same old anti-tatt line 'when the wrinkles kick in' lmao. The wrinkles are going to kick in REGARDLESS, we are all getting older and are all going to die, so to quote William Shatner because I can :)

You'll Have Time - William Shatner

(William Shatner/Ben Folds)

Live life
Live life like you're gonna die
Becasue you're gonna
I hate to be the bearer of bad news
But you're gonna die

Maybe not today or even next year
But before you know it you'll be saying
"Is this all there was?
What was all the fuss?
Why did I bother?"

Now, maybe you won't suffer maybe it's quick
But you'll have time to think
Why did I waste it?
Why didn't I taste it?
You'll have time
Because you're gonna die.

Yes it's gonna happen because it's happened to a lot of people I know
My mother, my father, my loves
The president, the kings and the pope
They all had hope

And they muttered just before they went
Maybe, I won't let go
Live life like you're gonna die
Because you are

Maybe you won't suffer maybe it's quick
But you'll have time to think
Why did I waste it?
Why didn't I taste it?
You'll have time
'Cause you're gonna die

I tell you who else left us
Passed on down to heaven no longer with us
Johnny Cash, JFK, that guy in the Stones
Lou Gehrig, Einstein, and Joey Ramone
Have I convinced you?
Do you read my lips?
This may come as news but it's time
You're gonna die
You're gonna die

By the time you hear this I may well be dead
And you my friend might be next
'Cause we're all gonna die

Yeah, oh maybe you won't suffer and maybe it's quick
But you'll have time to think
Why did I waste it?
Why didn't I taste it?
You'll have time
You'll have time cause you're gonna die
Yes, you're gonna die
You're gonna die, I tell you
You're gonna die
You are gonna die

'Cause maybe you won't suffer maybe it's quick
But you have time to think
Why did I waste it?
Why didn't I taste it?
You'll have time 'cause you're gonna die

Live Life
Life life like you're gonna die
Because you're going to
Oh yes
I hate to be the beater of bad news
But you're gonna die

Maybe not today or even next year
But before you know it you'll be saying
"Is this all there was?
What was all the fuss?
Why did I bother?
Why did I waste it?
Why didn't I taste it?"
You'll have time, baby
You'll have time
'Cause you're gonna die
You are gonna die
Oh yeah

Oh yeah baby, tatts are femme :)

Missed this thread earlier so here's my 2 cents..since I have lots of artwork , and appreciate it on others...I am attracted to women that are inked. There is nothing sexier than a gurl with artistic tats...nothing. That's no slight against ladies who chose not to...but for me....good ink seals the deal.
And besides most ladies I date that are tattooed aren't doing it for me, or any other fucking dude...they do it because THEY like it...So for all you "old farts" who don't dig it....the more out there for me !

I personally would never butcher, disfigure,or over garnish a classic '57 Chevy,'59 Cadillac,or an original Shelby Mustang, etc, but there are a few out there that would. Classic cars that would fall victim to a chop saw, wild paint jobs, and over-chroming,etc,might elicit some initial head turning oohs and aahs, but at the end of the day my guess is that most in the presence of such vehicles would rather drive home the original classic as it left the factory. There's a reason they're called "classics",and the reason a classic unadulterated vehicle is worth a lot more than one personalized or set up for a niche targeted group.

Whether that analogy might apply here with tattoos or not,the same principle comes into play to some extent. Those who detest tattoos on women like yours truly probably feel that the "classic" one-of-a-kind originality, beauty, lines, shape, and features, that the car (read:woman) left the factory with was great in its original form. Its unadulteration and purity make it part of its attractiveness. Beautiful women, particularly beautiful TS women, are beautifully unique as they are without needing to treat their bodies like a doodle pad. Think of the beautiful TS women sans loud, large tattoos who often adorn these threads with their wonderful images and ask yourself if the lack of a tattoo is really a deal breaker. Is it?

Do you really need to improve on either of the following with anything?

From your post I am figuring that you'd rather have an original classic rather than a changed or altered machine/body. Then how do you feel about a shemale who had facial surgery? Or boob implants. Or body hair removal? You prefer the original classic body, which is probably a man . lol just joking with ya.

Yvonne,
Apples and oranges. One approach is a means to an end -- attempting to comport physically with their image of the woman they were meant to be;the other is an exterior or cosmetic "adornment" based on a trend or fad. What I tried to highlight with those images was that either subject looked great without any unnecessary embellishment of any kind.

Fred41,
Did Marilyn Monroe's beauty and popularity require a tattoo? Betty Page? Sophia Loren? Raquel Welch? Ursula Andres? Brigit Bardot? Marilyn Mansfield? Any of the Bond women? Any of the Russ Meyer beauties? Any of the beautiful TS women in here pictured without them? Need I go on? Funny how those women, and tens of millions of other beautiful women out there spanning generations, somehow missed the memo to get inked in order to be considered more attractive or "hot"...How did we get by all those years?...You can also hang a lot on those "vanilla white walls" you speak of without permanently harming them, not to mention what intelligence and creativity would do to the contents of the room itself.

Celticgraphix,
You hit on it.It is kind of suicidal.Their thinking is with the here and now and presumes too much about the future. With tattoos being a trend and all as they have become with young women in this country, how will they rationalize what will eventually become an indistinguishable stain(s) on their figures and appendages? Will you find Janine Lindemulder that hot 20 or 30 years from now? It's bad enough that we all have to try to counter the ravages that Father Time can bring and now one has to deal with fading, bleeding, indistinguishable tattoos as part of the mix too? Trends by their very nature and definition aren't meant to be permanent so what gives? I doubt many who decide on getting a tattoo have ever been around crusty old sailors to see what their tattoos will eventually become, but it's their decision and their life. ...Oh,the irony that lots of these young women were just on Clearasil only a couple of years ago.

Sorry,'don't find them attractive or appealing.

I LOVE tattoos on girls, I think they are hot as hell. There are two things in the world that I am afraid of, (1) Being on airplanes and (2) having a tattoo made on me, if not I would have one done on the side of my back.

Let me try again, I tried to say what your taste is in shemales, not what their mental state was or how they had to fix a wrong with their bodies. I just wanted to know if you liked shemales and why don't you like the original model, which is a man? I meant the attraction you might have towards a person that modified their body not the core reason they do it.

Anyway,,, tossing out a straight six cylinder engine and replacing it with a hemi will increase the value of the car, not decrease it. Sometimes an improvement to something can make it better.

But tattoo's are like music, everyone has different tastes and that should be the defining answer. Not that a tattoo is bad, it's just something some like and some don't.

I wouldn't be here for all these years and with next to 5000 posts if I weren't into transgendered women (Don't care for the "shemale" tag). So let me try again: I will not equate the difficult journey and whatever subsequent steps and surgery procedures involved to become the women they were meant to be,with what was at one time a circus sideshow attraction(the tattooed lady). The two are totally different things.

Uuuuuh,no...in general,NO. Ever watch Barrett-Jackson?

Here you are dead on. I'm just from that camp that doesn't care for them. If providence presented me with a choice between a beautiful woman who was rated a 9.5 but with a large tattoo on her ankle, versus a beautiful one who was rated an 8.5 sans a tattoo,I'd go for the latter. Easy choice. A no-brainer.

Do you really need to improve on either of the following with anything?

What you might be missing in your anti-tattoo stock-standard zeal is maybe the fact that some transsexuals get tattoos to survive being born transsexual in the first place. If I hadn't got some of my tattoos to remind me of who I was and where I should be going BEFORE I actually started undergoing transition full-time I dare say I wouldn't be here typing this.

Henceforth, the tattoos were a part of my history and my armour before the HRT hormones started my second puberty. So to use your (spurious) analogy, I classify purely under the TS stock standard class because my tatts were there beforehand.

And seriously, the stock '57 Chev (and cars of that era) brakes and tyres suck. You telling me you'd drive that thing with 3 inch wide cross-ply tyres and drum brakes the width of pringle can on today's roads and traffic?

Gimme 20"inch rims on low profile tyres with 14" disc brakes all round on the stock standard '57 body and then I might agree with you ;)

Ultimately, it's the decision on the wearee. Tats are an expression of one's self. The question begs....What is it you are trying to say? I have two tats, both have specific meaning to me. Why should a female's desire to express themselves in that manner be any different....because they're female? Bullshit!!! Women have been wearing tats for centuries so, what's changed?

I think 'are girls allowed to have tattoos' wasn't the question here. It's 'do you think tattoos are attractive'. And nobody expects any girl to take the smallest bit of notice of the opinion of the guys here, but we're allowed to vent them anyway.

I'm indifferent. Oh, in terms of "unmarked" as you say/write, well, there's Sarina Valentina.
Can people overdo tats? Well, it just depends on preference, taste.
I, myself, don't have any tattoos. Simply personal choice. Everyone has to decide what's best for them.
But I do like Layla's tattoo.

Fred41,
Did Marilyn Monroe's beauty and popularity require a tattoo? Betty Page? Sophia Loren? Raquel Welch? Ursula Andres? Brigit Bardot? Marilyn Mansfield? Any of the Bond women?

No...but they would've been just as hot with 'em...sometimes even hotter.
